The Bloomington never used #5 Fire Station is being used, just not as a fire station. It’s a meeting hall as well as a garage for extra vehicles. Meeting this week:

One of my FOIA requests was denied by the City of Bloomington because they claim a complaint filed by a citizen is still under investigation. Only 2 people were involved – unless one was ordered to do what the complaint is based on. Stay tuned.

Since we are now 3 months into 2024 one might think the City of Bloomington would know by now total compensation details for 2023. I requested that report by FOIA, this was the response:

Evidently the City’s software can’t do this report. Did W-2’s go out by January 31st? Maybe they don’t want you to see how many employees have Total Compensation of over $100,000 a year.
1.) Way too many employees.
2.) Too many unnecessary positions.
3.) Too many receiving exorbitantly high salaries for the level of experience.
