More about this story on Rivian moving to two shifts: https://www.wglt.org/local-news/2024-03-05/rivian-to-cut-3rd-shift-for-r1-production-at-normal-plant-next-month?fbclid=IwAR14-gqvch-aRzqS0sQotFTIA9NuEwrvC8JfWDUSsfiuK7JQnIdJxEDDXkg

All hourly employees were sent a form so they could pick what shift they wanted to work:

7:00 am to 3:30 pm

or

9:00 pm to 5:30 am

They won’t be working 10-12 hour days as rumored on social media after the announcement. No word on what happens if too many sign up for the same shift. No word either on how all of the employees can be reassigned from three shifts to two either. Stay tuned.

Even though the holidays are long past, I’m told Amazon is still slow rolling picking up their vehicles which means Rivian has to store vehicles at State Farm. I’m told those vehicles are slowly being shipped out. Emphasis on slowly.

See this story: https://www.wglt.org/local-news/2024-02-27/special-prosecutor-no-charges-coming-in-bpd-officer-case

Ty Carlton will not be charged even though Bloomington fired him with a long list of misdeeds. Is this a case of white Christian officers aren’t wanted in the woke chief’s force? Just asking since nobody else is. Obviously the documents the police used to fire him weren’t good enough to prosecute him. The “suspects” he supposedly helped weren’t charged either. Smell a lawsuit?

This story isn’t over – stay tuned.

  1. The Ty Carlton case stinks to high heaven for Chief Jamal. Maybe we should fire the chief instead.

  2. I heard yesterday that there was an error in which shift was being eliminated. That it is actually the third shift that is being eliminated.

      1. I’ve now heard that your original post is correct. It is the first and third shifts that will be kept.

  3. Pounds like Rivian is going to go the way of Mitsubishi. Rivian is in trouble and this move should be writing on the wall for Rivian employees to maybe start thinking about dusting off the old resume.
