The County Board saw a computer rendering of the new Animal Control building last night. It will be 15 miles south of Bloomington.
The video shows the inside layout too. One thing not included is outdoor runs for the animals. Farnsworth designed the building with the budget they had, outdoor runs will have to be a future addition.

It required Farnsworth to design an animal shelter? I’m guessing their fee was more than the total cost of the current shelter.
Mr. Byrne must not care much about man’s best friend after his heartless comments towards the new building. His words were hurtful and insulting. Animals running free on city streets would be both a health hazard and lead to a serious injury if the animals were left to fend for themselves.
Who would take care of the abandoned and injured cats and dogs? Help spay and neuter them or provide adoption for rescued pets. Sick animals deserve compassion too. Only a heartless human would be so cold.
Beirne is one sick puppy, that is for sure.
It could double up as a quarantine during a measles outbreak. Something to consider.
