I found the mis/dis information last night the League of Women Voters is seeking to expose. Their members need to watch the Live Stream of the Bloomington Township meeting on the Edgar County Watchdogs Facebook page. Maybe LWV voters can ask the 28 people who voted to put the anti-Israel question on the ballot where they get information from. Find the source and the problem is fixed!
The room was packed. This pic shows a lot of the crowd but not all:

Only people who live in Bloomington Township could vote, registration was taken at the door. Those voting had a numbered card.
There were many comments by supporters that were nonsense, this one was my favorite. This lady thinks God can’t be mentioned at a government meeting, probably why her cohorts sat for the Pledge of Allegiance. “Under God” evidently bothers them. The Edgar County Watchdogs video shows her better at 44:15. She’s wearing a large cross.
The final vote was 28 in favor and 88 against putting the question on the ballot. This isn’t the first township where this has been tried without success.
This was a complete waste of their time but proves why Freedom of Speech is vital. The real agenda wasn’t hidden. I’m sure no minds were changed last night on either side. Not In Our Town was MIA.
Thanks to everyone who showed up on short notice.

I had the pleasure of voting it down in Capitol township, Springfield Illinois
Doesn’t belong in local politics, but the message is fair – no more foreign aid, period!
Thank you so much for getting the word out, Diane! Please let us know if Normal tries this garbage too…
Many lessons learned here. The usual troublemakers are still making trouble. Uneducated hamas supporters, who are misinformed, signed the petition. Leftist progressive marxists never stop. Ever. Stay vigilant.
I am commending you for a job well done on helping to get the word out at the last minute on this special meeting. I encourage people to view the video and make their own opinions on topic. I also would like to compliment the city clerk , Leslie Yokum on the way the meeting was set up. Everyone got to vote, everyone was vetted that they were registered to vote , all voting was done in a visible way that no one could argue with. Also credits to Township Supervisor Deborah Skillrud for conducting the voting procedure.
The Moderator was elected by popular vote even.
Job well done people.
Now that these wokesters have been ignored they’ll have to move on to something even more provocative to be noticed. It’s the progressive’s greatest desire.
A couple of thoughts:
The aberrant qualifier “under god” in the pledge of allegiance is a very topical reason for not standing or respecting the ritual, but a very valid one.
Pledging allegiance to a nation actively complicit in a recognized genocide amounts to committing oneself to those egregious crimes of said nation; scorning that institutional ritual is the very least a principled person can do to separate themself from said complicity.
Leave instead of disrespecting history, those who died defending freedom, and the heritage we all have. Obviously public school indoctrination
Readers: this comment was made by a self admitted communist. He has zero understanding of what that means.
