You don’t know the answer to that because local government doesn’t want you to know. Both cities use the excuse you would be able to figure out how much dispensaries earned if you knew the taxes they paid.

The numbers below are only for 1 year. Click the link to search other cities. I think the tax below is in addition to the local Sales Tax collected. Finding information on either Bloomington or Normal’s website is difficult at best. It must be top secret!
Seems like a pittance when you consider the trade off. Children forced to live in apartments and ride in cars with pot smokers cannot be healthy for these children. Does this effect their respiratory and mental health? Drivers behind the wheel as high as a kite is not safe for other motorists. Their judgement and reaction time is several diminished. The wreckage to people and society is not good but pritzker and his accomplices knew that and are perfectly willing to accept it.
Making money off of drug addicts sounds pathetic. Another example of taking any money they can find from taxpaying citizens.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with a “sin” tax on liquor, cigarettes, gambling and cannabis. Smoke-up, drink-up and bet your money away…..more power to ya!
On top of that, alot of the pot they sell is Delta 8 which isn’t natural, it’s synthetic. It’s much harder for the body to get rid of synthetic chemicals than natural. If you’re going to smoke it, get a medical card and grow your own, know what it’s in it.
