I was going to wait until after the November election to write about local elections, but I don’t think this can wait that long.
There is a disturbing trend in local government that is limiting DIVERSITY of thought. Should married couples be allowed to hold elected office? Why is this trend only on the left? Does anyone believe these couples don’t have an agenda? Do they care what the people they represent think? Is the candidate pool so tiny that the far left can only find spouses to run?
Currently Cody Hendricks is an elected Alderman in Bloomington. He just got married to elected County Board member Eric Hanson.
A candidate for Ward 9 in Bloomington just announced she is running in the April 1, 2025 election.
Her name is Abby Scott. She just happens to be married to current County Board member Corey Beirne.
This is from what Beirne posted when he ran for office 2 years ago:
Is shouldn’t be surprising that two far left local radicals posted support for Abby while not stating who she is. Even Corey didn’t say he was talking about his wife!
There is a lot that Beirne and Scott are hiding about their radical beliefs. I suspect that they hope to keep it quiet until voting starts.
More about her husband though.
Posted here on BLN was Beirne’s Facebook post in which he said that –
“Elementary school students are not too young to learn about LGBTQ topics.”
What topics does that include? When will he start teaching them? Have the parents been informed about this? Is this Unit 5’s policy? Are they teaching Comprehensive Sex Education in the grade schools now?
These questions need to be answered. I will be contacting Dr. Weikle and the Board of Education.
