Start with the priceless moments from last night: Bloomington City Council

By: Diane Benjamin

This won’t be the only story on last night.

During the discussion of parking tickets downtown, the aldermen who is also running for mayor declared he and his spouse who is running for McLean County Board (Eric Hansen) aren’t good at paying their bills. Cody Hendricks was the only vote against stronger enforcement of unpaid parking tickets. Two clips:

Alderman Danenberger was worried about one company getting all the towing business. Nobody thought to mention putting a boot on cars instead of towing. That not only eliminates the problem but also takes away the possibility of damage from towing.

Deputy City Manager Billy Tyus wants you to know the City is bringing in more diverse entertainment even if it doesn’t make money. This proves why government shouldn’t be in the entertainment business. Everyone gets to subsidize DEI entertainment for a few.

  1. Clown show council one step away from Brandon Johnson level progressive ignorance. Billy Tyus isn’t worth his salary and 5 of the 9 alderman sincerely could care less about you or your families well being.

    Open your eyes.

  2. Cody Hendricks should not be on the city council or running for mayor if he cannot pay his own bills! Since he is not a responsible citizen he is not qualified to run a city!
