5 Things You Need To Know

Many companies have realized DEI is ridiculous for business because it puts people in positions they didn’t earn and are not qualified for. The Town of Normal didn’t get the message:

2)

I was notified by a friend that his deceased mother is still on the voter roles. Evidently the Bloomington Election Commission fails to remove deceased people based on death records. Please check to see if your loved one is still registered to vote in Illinois: https://ova.elections.il.gov/RegistrationLookup.aspx

If they are still registered, contact the corresponding election authority. Not removing people makes fraud easier. Ask if they requested a mail-in ballot.

3)

The last day to file petitions to run for local offices is October 28th. That includes Municipal governments, School Boards, Heartland School Board, Townships, etc.

Illinois runs local elections so close to national on purpose because they know most people won’t participate.

4)

Over 5000 people who thought they registered to vote weren’t because of a glitch at the Secretary Of State: https://www.mystateline.com/news/local-news/over-5k-illinois-residents-not-registered-to-vote-due-to-dmv-coding-error/

Back in 2020 over 500 non-citizens were registered to vote in Illinois: https://abc7chicago.com/voter-registration-illinois-automatic-board-of-elections/5870988/

That happened before Illinois changed the law to have no non-citizen identifying information on driver’s licenses. Anybody believe illegals aren’t registered to vote now?

5)

WGLT reported State Farm is removing EV chargers from their parking garages: https://www.wglt.org/local-news/2024-10-07/state-farm-removing-ev-charging-stations-from-its-parking-decks?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

EV supporters always claim gas engines catch fire at greater rates than EVs. Does it look to you like State Farm knows something we aren’t being told?

  1. My Deceased Mother also got a notice in the mail. Calling the BEC today. The BEC is a joke. Sure wish Kathy was handling the entire county.

  2. Unbelievable- use the link in Article to check registration status and low and behold “not registered” when know I have been

State systems in every dept are clearly lacking integration and data integrity

Nothing new (security, innovation and transformation) and we pay $$ for it

  3. I wonder when Normal will be removing their personal EV charging stations from the parking garage located next to the office building??

  4. The petition window for school boards (including Heartland) is Nov 12-18. Be sure NOT to file in October as those signatures effectively become void and you have to start over.
The October date is correct for municipal elections.
Not sure which dates apply to Normal Library and various Townships. I -think- the later date.
I don’t think I’m running for anything this go-round; maayybe Unit 5. But happy to help circulate petitions and proof paperwork for good candidates if there are any.
