Facebook regularly deletes news stories calling them spam and slaps fact checks on my posts. Free speech doesn’t exist on Facebook. Congress needs to remove protections given to them because they don’t act as a platform.
I received the email below from Connie yesterday. I’m just passing on information in case people want to find her.
Connie Beard is not a bomb thrower. Facebook would not have any reason to do the below. Her X handle is @BeardConnie. X is the only free speech social media site. Everyone should be using it instead of Fakebook.

You might find it interesting that I have been taken off Facebook completely. I received a notice yesterday morning that my Facebook account had been closed and all my posts- anywhere deleted. They closed my professional real estate page as well as my non profit theater company page CAST. Trying to let people know so they don’t think I ignore posts or messages. I just can’t access Facebook in any way.
I had no warning, never had received a notice of this coming . I had never even been in “Facebook Jail” before. Just received a notice that my account was closed and no appeal possible.
It is a sobering reminder that two companies, Google and Facebook, control communications in this country. I can at least still send emails. I have set up an account on X but it is not the same. I have been cut off from my usual method of connecting with family and friends. It will take a long time to develop alternate avenues. I had almost 1000 friends on Facebook. I can only speculate as to why they closed me down.

Interesting timing with the news on X stating that many people that didn’t follow the various narratives have been “debanked”.
This included people that reported the truth about Jan 6, Melania Trump, and others.
Now Meta is cracking down on former local politicians?
If this is how they act, I cancelled my Facebook. I’m sorry for Connie. Better things will come from this.
Hmmm. Strange. I have no idea who she is or what she posts but there must be some reason, even if it’s not a good one.
I am part of the McLean County Republican Executive Board, and served as Chairman for 5 years. . I help to maintain the Facebook page for the MCGOP. Now I can’t as I have no access to Facebook. Since I did not create that page it is still up but I can no longer help. I am a licensed Real Estate Broker for 32 years. My professional page was taken down. I am the founding director of Crossroads Area Student Theatre that has been serving this area for 11 years. We are a non=-profit faith based student company. Never anything political on either my professional page or my theatre company page. That page was also taken down. As a Christian I have always worked hard to show respect on line and as Diane stated I have not been a “bomb thrower”. I was given no warning or explanation as to why. Yes I was a vocal supporter of President Trump but so are millions of others online. It would help if I just knew why.
What about contacting Newsmax and Fox News and telling them your story? They love to cover stuff like this and maybe your account and pages will be restored.

Thank you for your reply/bio. I suspect your bio explains why you were cancelled. Leftist individuals can be very hateful….You can be hurt financially by cancellation. So a small little purple haired zealot with a nose ring and pierced eyebrows hit delete out of pure hateful spite.

You played with the snake because you saw it as convenient and easy. And then when you get bit, you blame the snake? You chose poorly, ma’am.
I ditched FB in December 2020 before they ditched me. We stopped posting for the non-profit too. Yeah, it came at a cost but we took away Fecesbook”s ability to cripple us at a bad time. Sure, I miss seeing some family and friends stuff. But when I had them delete me it also took away the ability of enemies to datamine for posts that could be used against me as well.
You are the product on FB. Seize one measure of your privacy back. Get off FB. You’ll thank me after 6 months or a year.
Appreciate your perspective John. I do look at the positives of this action. I just know that for my non=profit theatre group it was a asset. It can be restored with the work of my board of directors. I just won’t enjoy the fun of making posts showing off “my kids”. I also will lose outreach to my costumer base for my real estate. And yes I did make use of Facebook Marketplace from time to time with great success. I would like to find another medium in which non political things can be enjoyed and shared. The real problem is the monopoly that Facebook has on such communication. I can replace the political flow with X and Truth Social. Just hoping that President Trump and his team can address issues such as this.
Much like Bud Lite and Harley Davidson learned the hard way, it is wise to keep business, politics, and religion separate.
Nearly as many people hate Trump as like him and they’re likely to be among the anonymous dweebs staring at a computer screen all day looking to be offended.
I agree to keep separate that’s why I never posted political stuff on my professional page or my non profit group.

Take heart Connie. As devastating as this is, you are in very good company (I’m sure you can figure out who those people are.) I learned a valuable lesson with the heck they put Sarah Palin through. And it still holds true today. “When you’re catching a lot of flak, it means you’re over the target.” The people who aren’t “canceled,” are leftist progressive marxist democrats OR R.I.N.O.’s. When you get under their skin, you know you’re doing something right. Considering how hard they hit you, I feel certain that is true. Never give up. Never give in.
I kicked Facebook to the curb years ago. You should have gotten on Twitter sooner instead of jacking around with Fakebook.

Every employee (data) and a lot of has been exploited and profiled and targeted (can give many examples and players of big HR depts locally) and global “partners”
Lotsa $ going to U of I, ISU and local colleges and marketing and “data analysis” implementations (social scoring/Human Factors/social engineering grads)
Marxism hit McLean County long ago and “targeting and retaliating against certain workers/ citizens”
The county board just cheered it all on (managed service nightmares and abuses of data all types)
People just cheer it all on (public safety and control the narratives)
