The McGOP needs to get there head out of Trump’s ass and focus on local politics. During the Trump years the McGOP has driven the county from red to blue while the majority of the rest of the country went in the opposite direction.
My opinion is that the MCGOP has lost their credibility and relevance because they refuse to address their own local RINO problem
McGOP didn’t do anything for Trump. Meanwhile Trump increased his vote share in Illinois without ever running an ad or campaigning here.
The local GOP are by and large nothing but cocktail conservatives. They don’t like Trump or his America First agenda. They are in it for “networking” with their fellow country club set. They don’t stand for anything because they are paralyzed with fear that they will energize the left.
Here’s a clue to those like Chucky Erickson: the left are not only energized but they are well funded.
Moreover, the eGOP’s cowardice at standing on conservative principles and actually using power when thay have it sours conservatives in a big way. “Why shoul I vote or donate?”
I donated thousands more this last cycle than ever before. I am pretty sure there are other places I can spend that money and actually get results to benefit me and my kids.
If the McGOP / eGOP outside of a close personal friend want my money next cycle my message will be crystal clear: I will be happy to donate AFTER you’ve won a seat AND done something with it. Save your impassioned speeches for the naive fools. Ya’all burned me bigtime this year. Never again.
