Start with this comment by a former Republican County Board member who left the state:

The County Board is 12-8 democrat. That means 40% of the Board is Republican and 60% Democrat.
If Mark is correct and the Executive Committee makes most of the decisions, it should reflect the 60-40 split. Of course if you want little objection to anything the majority wants, it won’t.
This is the Executive Committee now that Democrats control the Board:

6 democrats and 2 Republicans isn’t a 60-40 split.
Of course the Republicans didn’t object and dutifully complied. Republicans are now immaterial.
This is the complete committee assignment list. Evidently McLean County wants to be as mismanaged as the State since they voted to put the same ideology in charge. Krystle Able is chair of the property committee. Expect Rent Control to be her highest priority.

Wow I didnt think it would be this obvious. Executive Committee with 2-8 or a 1-4 ratio split between the parties. Lizzy sure intends to “spank the Republicans good” for having to wait so long for her chance in the spotlight.
Krystle Able just announced she is running for Normal Township Supervisor. Didn’t think you could mess up Normal any more than it is. I guess I was wrong. Lol.
What did executive committee look like when republicans had majority?
4 – 4. The previous board was split 50-50.
Yes, but what about when the republicans had majority. Was there power sharing when the democraps had a minority?
Go check the on line minutes. You have to know what party each member was 5 years ago.
just checked, looks like in 2021 (11 R to 9 D), even with such a close board the democraps only held one seat on the executive comitee😂 Just goes to show how bad our local GOP is and has been for years. Dont even get me started on the demoCRAPS
