If you still read the paper . . .

You need to know Letters to the Editor posted in the paper before elections aren’t grassroot support.

Campaigns recruit letter writers or even write sone for people to submit. The purpose is to try to sway public opinion and make people think their candidates are more popular than they are.

If you read them, keep that in mind. I’ve seen this happening before every election. I’ve also seen some letters never get published. Read into that whatever you want.

  1. Why would anyone take the Pantagraph or anyone connected to the news or editorial department seriously? It’s basically run out of Decatur now. The reporters are totally in the bag for the Democrats and to bring this up to any of them gets you nasty texts until you ignore them. The political support letters are from the same people supporting their friends or relatives for office or attacking their political opponents. A majority of the authors are long standing members of the local Elitist Clique who no one with a brain should take seriously. Relief yourself of this agony and theater of the absurd and get the hell out of broken down McLean County and BN ASAP. No matter who wins all of you lose.

  2. I can’t remember the last time I read that dead tree rag. I sometimes see their front page at Walmart and giggle at how few pages it has shrunk down to. I don’t even look at their craptastic website. They have it all locked down which is their perogative. Instead, for lacal news, I choke down some WGLT or WEEK on top of BLNNEWS.
