County records for Christopher H Simmons

Look up criminal records at this link: https://publicaccess.mcleancountyil.gov/PubAC_SearchCriminal.aspx

Christopher Simmons was determined to be the shooter in the weekend triple homicide and then suicide . He has a long history of traffic and DUI violations plus cannabis. He also pled guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge. It looks to me like he was on probation until next month. His FOID card was revoked which meant he couldn’t legally own a gun. Proving again those cards are meaningless to criminals, he still had the legally purchased gun in his possession.

Supposedly the State Police got more money in 2021 to confiscate guns when a FOID card is revoked. That isn’t working either. https://patch.com/illinois/skokie/foid-card-changes-require-background-checks-private-sales

An easier solution is jail time for any gun offenses if the guns aren’t turned in before sentencing. Common sense? In Illinois? ha ha ha

Safe-T Act make anyone safer?

  1. Typical scumbag who should have been in prison. Instead he murdered 3 people. The justice system in McLean County absolutely failed these people.

  2. Let me understand this Illinois law requires an FOID, a firearm owners Identification card which a person gets because they own a firearm this person commits a felony in 2023 with his weapon so Illinois cancels his foid card but do they immediately go to his home and confiscate all his weapons immediately? In this case I don’t think so I could be wrong but in this case I don’t think so. For all you supporters of the demoncratic leaders that run our state you can blame them for allowing this scumbag to kill 3 innocent people.
You illegally misuse a gun of any kind you break the law you go to jail and all your weapons are taken away immediately how difficult can that be?
God just help me to get out of this worthless state some day!

    1. They tried something similar to this but all the GOP 2A nutjobs screamed it violated their constitutional right so it never passed. Now here you all are again blaming democrats. Ah the irony…

      1. Help me understand what the SAFE-T Act has to do with Simmons? I thought the pretrial detention stuff didn’t go into effect until 2023, which would be after Simmons’ last arrest in 2022

  3. Another shooting incident tonight (Wednesday) on Arcadia. It just keeps getting better and better in my old hometown. Raise your hand if you’ve had enough.

      1. Then you should prove it by moving out of BN and so should everyone else. The people in charge don’t care about you. They never have and never will.

        1. I wish I could pack up today and leave tomorrow. Unfortunately, I can’t right now, that’s not possible for me. I have responsibilities here that have priority.

          1. I won’t get into or ask about your personal business which should always remain personal but anything else other than taking care of a sick relative or attending to a family member who has no one else around is the only viable reason(s) to stay. Hopefully, everyone disgusted with the situation there will eventually see the light and book at their first opportunity. Everyone deserves to be happy, at least a little bit. Nothing will ever change there. I was born and raised and went to college there too. I’ve lived elsewhere, came back and left again. One thing I finally learned, probably the hard way, is BN and McLean County is far from being the center of the universe. Some good people remain but not enough to ever make a real difference. It’s also been infiltrated by Chicago leftists and criminals never to return to a viable community. Most of the populace is self- centered, dishonest and morally corrupt. Getting out at your first opportunity is the only answer for you and your family. Remaining in Illinois shouldn’t be an option either.

            1. I agree 100 percent! I was raised here from the time I was 4 and went to college here. What you said is why I have to stay now. I have been exploring other places to live and will get out at the first opportunity.
