All 1-hour street parking and a parking garage APP WHICH DOES NOT WORK (and also elderly persons cannot understand!) makes for a VERY bad place to shop, eat, OR PROTEST in Normal?? I cannot believe how AWFUL their parking is after I attended an event there a few weeks ago… all those businesses should be in rebellion over those parking rules! I will definitely go out of my way to shop all other places instead of DOWNTOWN Normal!

It appears someone doesn’t know about the “Presidential Secret Service Act”, 18 U.S.C. § 3056. They should put some effort toward reading it. It is the Secret Service under the Dept. of Homeland Security who decides the number of agents that are needed and assigned to locations. It isn’t the POTUS. Anyhow the expense of that pails in comparison to federal waste that DOGE is identifying.

A few local progressives and elected officeholders spouting tired lines and slogans. most of the other elderly libs were paid and bussed in. About 100 in attendance. nowhere near the attendance claimed by WGLT. It was cold and generally uncomfortable with weak crowd energy.
Looks like there is another gathering at the BCPA this Saturday. I’m done going to events there! Not to mention that City of Bloomington employees are the ones picking up signs and trash after they leave.
