Only 1/3 of the people living in tiny houses found permanent housing. The writer thought Amazon should do more to redistribute their wealth.
This project might work or it might become what other cities have experienced when they tried it. It reminds me of the far left calling for socialism. They claim they know how to do it right. Nobody else in history has known the secret, but they do. Human nature doesn’t allow socialism to work. It always produces more takers than creators.
Just for the record, this Karl Marx loving County Board member wants kudos for her vote and destain for those who opposed. Remember her words in 4-5 years, Bloomington residents will be funding the emergency calls. She lives in Normal.

The M.O. of leftist progressive marxist democrats is NEVER to ACTUALLY SOLVE a problem. Although they will SAY they are solving a problem, what they actually do is deliberately and knowingly CREATE MORE PROBLEMS. If they actually solved a problem, they would render themselves useless and unnecessary. They cannot let that happen. They must always justify their existence by calling themselves problem solvers. Like everything else they’ve created to solve a problem, this too will be an epic failure. And who will be left holding the bag? The tax paying citizens of Bloomington Normal McLean County.

A leftist (socialist) can’t see beyond the end of their nose so we are never surprised when they bloody it by running smack into a brick wall all the while blaming others for their lack of compassion.
If so many people were not harmed by their incompetence and lack of forethought it would be a funny thing to watch. But we’ve seen it too many times and it isn’t funny anymore.
These belligerent and obstinate homeless millstones of society need to be told where, when and how they will behave in taxpayer funded housing. But that won’t happen as long as the spendthrift mouth breathers in Bloomington City administration and Council along with HSHM and taxpayer funded grants /NGO’s keep on promoting fake solutions and free goodies.
Further, every tent that pops up should promptly be destroyed until these parasites get the message.
Of course, progressive socialists like Ms. Able and her friends should never be allowed near taxpayer $$, but the local trend seems to allow for the downward spiral toward socialism. The nearly 200 McLean County taxing bodies are sure to tax and spend until everyone lives in government housing.
Home Sweet Home had its staff clean up Autozone while the people that live at Autozone just stood by and watched and did not help. The cabins are going to be a new version of tent city. A majority of the people living at the new location – encampment refuse help and services.
