If you have swallowed “Climate Change” propaganda, you aren’t looking at facts.
Try this one:

.
Prefer a list? Here it is, a few states don’t match because the above is newer than this list: https://www.factmonster.com/math-science/weather/record-highest-temperatures-by-state
In case you forgot, remember when another Ice Age was imminent because of global cooling?
When facts didn’t support that claim, “experts” started pushing Global Warming.
After a decade of no warming, the propagandists settled on “Climate Change”.
Why is Climate Change pushed? Follow the money: Connect Transit dead electric buses, EV subsidies while electricity rates are increasing, and green technology (turbines, solar panels, batteries) making China richer.
Developers in McLean County want to cover some of the richest farmland in the country with solar panels. Nothing about this project is “green” except the money.

Surprised that the highest recorded temp in Illinois was not 1936 like many states in the Midwest. I heard about 1936 all the time growing up.
As far as farmland goes, how many acres of McLean County farmland have been taken out of production in the last 25 years for solar panels and windmills? I remember when the County Board was VERY picky and disallowed any single home to be built in the country rural areas unless it had at least 5 acres lot of land to go with it. (Outside of a subdivision). We can expect a lot more of this with a left leaning County Board going forward. As the largest county in the state, we can expect nothing but a disappearing landscape, perpetual electric rate hikes and power outages well into the future. Yes, just follow the money…
The problem now is the unelected Phil Dick – Zoning and his unelected board.
Living up to his name, he’s been a dick all his life.
There’s one of these almost finished when you’re coming out of Gibson City on Route 9, just before the curve going into McLean county. If you’re interested in what it will look like, I recommend going to see it for yourself. Yikes.
One would think “climate change” would cause more tornadoes. I can think of places they should visit.
