Illinois Judge thinks he can limit Free Speech

By: Diane Benjamin

Ever had someone say something on social media that offended you? Ever had a day something on social media DIDN’T offend you?

The case below is from Will County. Greg Anzelc wanted an Order of Protection against Jim Lanham because of what was said on Social Media:

Below are excerpts from the court transcript. The entire transcript is below. Judge Jarz thinks he has the right to adjudicate free speech when the speech is merely offensive. Judge Jarz needs to review the 1st Amendment. He welcomes anyone who gets their feelings hurt to file for an OP in his court. He graduated from law school in 1973. Time to retire judge. (I wonder if that offends him?)

The only difference between social media now and before it existed is offensive speech is now where the whole world can judge opinions for themselves. If you are easily offended, learn to scroll on by.

  1. Honestly, I’m not surprised. This state has been stomping all over the 2nd Amendment for years now. Of course they don’t care about the Constitution. Personal freedom and privacy means nothing in this state.

Meanwhile, our jackass of a governor would rather meddle in another state’s political issues and whine about “Orange man bad” endlessly. If oligarchs are so bad, why is he in office?

    1. After reading the Will County Gazette article, I amend my original statements. There is no way in hell a mentally unstable antifa commie should get an OOP against the people he’s been harassing and attempting to intimidate for the last few years. The guys own family has a hearing for an OOP against him. It sounds like he should be the first patient for the newly reopened asylums.

Other than that, he can kick rocks over his OOP, freedom of speech or not.

  2. I went to the bank for a loan. The bank said no. This very much disturbed and annoyed me and caused emotional distress as I do not have enough money to feed my dog, my best friend. Such harassment I thought. Seven pages of paperwork and a big fat NO!. So according to this judge, I can sue them. Sure hope some lawyer picks this up pro bono cause I’m friggin’ broke. Can’t feed my dog and now I am disturbed.

  3. Oh I thought this might have been here in McLean County. We need to make some social media posts to add some spice. Like, Maybe Judge Jarz forgot what and why the 1st Amendment was the FIRST amendment!!!!

Ole King Henry was acting like Judge Jarz and the framers wanted “Speech, Press, Religon, and Assembly” protected and rightly so #1, Numero Uno, Alpha, not third or fourth. Then followed by the protection of the 2nd Amendment, to keep tyrant Politicians, Judges, and even unlawful Law enforcement from stripping our Rights.

This retarded Judge needs to retire or get take a class on Civics 101, in my opinion, save us the Marx and just retire. .

  4. PS McLean County is full of libtard judges masquerading as “Conservatives.” Then they retire and the truth comes out publicly. Just like Judge Freese, huge lib.
