I heard a story this morning.
The short version is: A child suffered an elbow injury courtesy of a school bully and the school is doing nothing.
The child has a cast. When this child returned to school the bully resumed attacks. A teacher did not reprimand the bully.
I don’t know what district or what school. I do see lots of references to school bullies and the failure of the schools to make sure ALL children are safe. I haven’t seen this incident mentioned. I believe it happened about 2 weeks ago.

I don’t know about this incident, but I do know about an incident that happened at a U5 Elementary School. A kindergarten child was bullied, beaten, choked by another child. In spite of constant pleas from the parents to the principal, nothing was done to stop the bully. This year the student attends a different school. Public schools are not safe physically or mentally for ALL children. The bullies are allowed free reign to bully other children and nothing is done to stop them. It’s incredibly disgusting.
Not In Our Town will do nothing about it. Evidently, they are just fine with this type of behavior.
Just remember if the quota is exceeded for discipline where those students of color exceed those that are white teachers are no longer allowed to discipline any student of color

One only needs to look at the comments that Alex Williams the school board president made which is documented being said by him.

Get your children out of the public schools in order to keep them safe!
Not my son but this happened Thursday.
My son isn’t involved in that bullying incident.
But during PE, he was injured during a bad fall and I was NOT informed by the school. So bad he stayed home the following day, his wrist required a wrist splint to immobilize it, an ice pack due to swelling, medication for pain and swelling, and a compression wrap on his upper left arm in addition to multiple requiring bandages for the scrapes on his right. They were playing “Capture the Flag” and he was pushed to the ground by several of the opposing players, instead of “tagging” as is the rules. There is a group of boys that feel superior and like to pick ok other kids (I witnessed this as a room parent helping volunteer on numerous occasions.). The typical example of children with asshole parents, imitating their behaviors, or the kids that never have to be responsible for their actions, have horrible family dynamics and dysfunction, or are just plain mean and enjoy it.
So I received No notification from the teacher or school. He was in pain for hours and expressed his issues. Moaning and holding his wrist in class. Not one adult felt compelled to act on these signs of clear discomfort. My son said he wanted to “tough it out and just get home”.
Even though His wrist was tender and swollen, he came home holding it, this is my youngest son that never complains about pain and has a tremendous pain tolerance. So, I know this hurts.
Was it Bullies or an accident? Can’t say, but discipline doesn’t exist anymore in our schools.
Lack of empathy and compassion by the alleged adults.
I hope someone knows who the boy with the cast is.
