If I cared I’d figure out why revenue exploded for 1 year. I’m guessing the Inflation Reduction Act that only created inflation.

At many not-for-profit organizations there is a huge gap between the CEO salary and the worker bees. Most of these organizations have ten employees or fewer. The CEO is the face of the operation…marketing the organization, primary media contact and is suppose to fundraise if applicable (i.e. NGO). In many cases, those below do most of the daily workload. I knew a government non profit manager that spent most of the day playing solitaire on their computer and other games. Always had their chair facing the door and the street so they could see people coming and going. Those CEO’s involved in charity work really don’t want to see the problems they are suppose to help rectify solved for obvious reasons. The people with their hearts in the right place are the non-management employees and volunteers. The CEOs may have got into the work for the right reasons, but several get corrupted easily when they see the free money flowing in and the personal community recognition they get in their positions on top of the salaries. It’s not just a BN problem, but a problem most everywhere. It’s a corporate model from top to bottom. Real charitable work is devoid of such a structure.
“The governor gets paid less for managing an entire state.” < The billionaire Pigster couldnt care less about his salary, he's in it for the power.
These salaries are obscene! They DO NOT EARN this amount of money.
Profiting off of a charity is disgusting. These people should all be ashamed of themselves, and yet….
Years ago, I did a little research on the American Cancer Society. Doubt much has changed. At that time, the ACS held over $1 billion cash in the bank, other assets, and only contributed 18% of their donations to the actual people they advertised they were collecting for. Just think of all those suckers volunteering their time. But alas, chemo kills. Note that 85% of oncologists will themselves not take chemo. Put that in your soup and smoke it.
Look up Goodwill
@ Cracker Jack
I have not looked it up personally, but I have heard the same exact thing about the Susan G. Komen foundation.
As another poster mentioned, some of these people may have started out with the best of intentions, but look at the results.
This proves why communists’ claims that previous failures aren’t applicable are BS. Even if the new commie is smarter than multiple countries worth of people over multiple decades (exceedingly unlikely), and even if they were to succeed in implementing their truly utopian vision (exceedingly unlikely), and even if they were personally incorruptible (unlikely), narcissists and sociopaths would see the resulting concentration of power and find their way to the top eventually, and quite likely sooner than later via violent means. And thus even in a Perfect implementation of communism at scale, the worst case scenario(s) are still a question of When, not If.
“would you like to round up for (aka charity)”…. Another systematic scam
This would be comical if it were not so sad. Money that could actually help people is being used to pay salaries.
