This was posted on Facebook by a guy who attended. I would use his name but I don’t have his permission to use it. If he contacts me or comments below, I will add it. Of course the worst ISU has to offer were recruited to be there. ISU should be proud.

The Normal Township annual meeting last night was an absolute Disgrace.  The meeting started with a majority of ISU students in attendance NOT standing for the Pledge of Allegiance.  It went downhill from there.

I have not ever witnessed the level of hatred that I saw last night.  I am still in disbelief – I cannot understand how someone or in this case a group, gets to that level of hatred.  Listening to these students speak, you wonder how in the world can they believe what they are saying.  It was very clear, no understanding of history and no life experiences.

It was extremely clear just in the difference of the people who were there.  On one side of the center aisle in the auditorium were the ISU students – who were lacking in decorum and respect, along with only being temporary residents.  On the other side, all long-time residents, homeowners, most were grandparents, several veterans, and most of all – taxpayers.

Then towards the end – we find out they are targeting a company like Caterpillar as well.  Disgraceful.

Come November – Normal residents will need to vote No on this question.

  1. There should be resolution on the agenda to place a question of public policy on the November ballot for township voters to voice their opinion on whether or not part time residences should be allowed to vote in local elections.
