It’s easy to tell they aren’t. Using the terminology: Defending Democracy is a giveaway they aren’t. Democracy is mob rule, we are a Republic. It’s the same terminology Democrats have used in the last few elections to con voters while they redistrict opposition to have NO VOICE in elections.
The League has wanted to create a Voting Commission for the entire county instead of having the elected County Clerk run elections outside of Bloomington. LWV didn’t want the citizens of Bloomington to abolish the completely unaccountable Bloomington Election Commission in 2018 when it was on the ballot, so that effort failed. Bloomington voters still have LONG early voting lines while the County doesn’t. Bloomington doesn’t have to be efficient so they aren’t.
“Democracy” is pushing for people to run elections that never answer to voters. BEC doesn’t. The are funded by County taxpayers. The County can’t fire anyone for incompetence and neither can the City of Bloomington voters. #Democracy

The president of the McLean County League of Women Voters isn’t a women:
“Our mission is to empower voters and defend democracy. Ensuring that voting is a straightforward and easily understood process encourages regular participation,” League President Chad Kahl said in a release.
Democracy must mean erasing women. Their “empower voters” has done zero to increase voting in local elections. Instead of trying to control who counts the votes, LWV should be getting more votes to count.

I predict their “survey” will say an unelectable unaccountable commission is needed. That has been their goal for decades.

Started by radical feminists who all voted liberal Democrat. Their core policy positions now are “campaign reform”, gun control, “women’s rights (to murder unborn people), and ” healthcare reform” aka single payer government system.
They also love internationalists government like the UN, International Monetary Fund, and the world bank, aka the post war consensus working to dismantle local democratic Republics and establish a one world government.
They also hate Orthodox and historical Christianity (33 AD to 1840s), with traditional and biblical gender roles. They even helped Elizabeth Stanton with her false and heretical Bible ” The Woman’s Bible “.
They are also radical environmentalists, and love them some LGBTQ+ ” rights”, which is odd because transgender men are the biggest threat to ” women’s rights” right now.
They also hate school choice and vouchers for educational freedom.
Aka they are the radical left/liberal/democrat.

Media doesn’t! The won’t ignore their biased report either
B-N local media uses LWV and LWV uses B-N local media. When the local media want to localize something national (think the SAVE act), they call upon their trusty LWV sources to give them a quote or an interview that allows them to push a left-leaning narrative under the guise of just-asking-questions/objective journalism. Simiarly, the LWV publish studies when they want to get media coverage of a pet topic. Were it not for this ecosystem, the LWV would be ignored almost entirely.
