The Bloomington City Council meeting last night was mostly uneventful. Other than Jenna Kearns attended by phone because of illness, John Danenberger was MIA, and Mollie Ward was wearing a Covid mask, the only news was a timeline for a data center ordinance:

The August 26th meeting panel will be the “experts”.
There was one Public Comment by a younger family guy questioning City spending. He included the huge empty Connect Transit buses. Just hit Play below to hear him.

Since the meeting didn’t make much news, let’s talk gas prices instead!
Sam’s Club yesterday was $3.69. That is the same price as Love’s in north Normal:

I was in Peoria yesterday – not a good place to buy gas! I saw 3 stations within a half a mile at $4.19. I little further down Knoxville Avenue was this:

How can a gallon of gas be .70 higher in Peoria?
Luckily we didn’t need gas.
