Sick of listening to politicians who want your vote this November? You still have 3 1/2 more months of trying to decipher lies from truth. If you blindly believe rhetoric the truth doesn’t matter.
Remember the local elections few people bother to vote in? That election is April 6th of 2027 – really close to November 2026 on purpose. Voters must remain burned out and therefore not pay attention to what happens locally. Why do hacks get elected? Low voter turnout makes it easy.

July 28th is the first day to start circulating petitions. Filing starts October 19th.
What offices will be on the ballot?
School Boards! Candidates in District 87 and Unit 5 had no opposition in 2025. Parents and the community must be thrilled at the great job both district do “educating” kids. Sure.
4 seats on the Bloomington City Council will be on the ballot – Wards 2, 4, 6, 8
In Normal Andy Byars, Kathleen Lorenz, and Karyn Smith’s seats are on the ballot.
Other offices like Townships will also be on the 2027 ballot.

Tired of Property Taxes going up and up every year?
These are the people responsible! County Board offices are on the November ballot. They raised your property taxes too. Vote in November and April against progressives.
Run for office!
There will likely be a few open city council seats, and a few more races that should be competitive.
The school board at large races should all be competitive, with the carlock school closing threats disaster for unit 5, and D87 federal investigation for grooming elementary kids with gender and sex ideology. Both districts have raised taxes like crazy, so the voters should be primed to flip the school boards.
If you are a parent and care at all about the education of the kids in our community, come attend the GOP’s school board candidate training on Saturday August 22nd. Even if you don’t want to run, there will be training on how to engage with the schools board at meetings and support other candidates who do run.

Most of the existing school board members are either former teachers or married to teachers, so you know they are voting to support the unions and perpetuate the failing system, not the students. If they actually did support students, we would see reading and math scores improve (without hiding the true results behind inflated scores), improving graduation rates instead of lowering the graduation standards (d87), and growing school enrollment, instead of double digit drops in students over past 10 years.
Remember folks, D87 board just changed their mission statement to strip out a reference to creating good American citizens, and changing it to say “world citizens” instead. That should tell you everything you need to know about the globalist Marxism they are pushing.
Run For Office!
It should be noted that in years past, the filing deadline was After the fall election, so ‘outsiders’ had a great opportunity to collect signatures by strategically waiting outside polling places. Because of this, the ‘insiders’ changed the deadline to October. Now the ‘biggest, best, easiest’ signature opportunity is the County Fair, which is only 2 weeks away!
The timing of WGLT’s story bashing Kathleen Lorenz and her upcoming reelection seems suspicious. Being she criticized Pam Reese, and ran against Koos last cycle it appears WGLT is helping Reece and Koos sabotage her reelection.

Yes, I think it is, or should be if not, well known that WGLT takes marching orders from Koos and would never dare to criticize Reece — two things Kathleen Lorenz is not gauranteed to do, which makes her a thorn in their sides.
