Government doesn’t CREATE Rights because rights they create they can be taken away. Area socialists don’t CREATE rights either. Not In Our Town (Mike Matejka) and the self described ISU communist (Andrew Franson) thinks they do. Nobody has a RIGHT to obstruct foot traffic at Uptown Station and make the station look like a third world country camping there.
The Not In Our Town Facebook page has 4.9 thousand followers. They need to start taking donations to house the homeless themselves. Of course they won’t, socialists and communists don’t want to do the work themselves. In their brains government must because they have the money.
Normal is the perfect place for this to happen. Nobody in government will be listening.
Democrat voters need to understand that when the local Democrat candidates claim they are fiscal responsible, they refer to being socially responsible for the local government to fund mental healthcare, housing, and childcare. That means SPENDING tax dollars, NOT SAVING tax dollars. If Democrat voters LOVE paying taxes, I think New York City, Chicago, and Seattle are looking for some more tax dollars.
This should be seen for what it is – A socialist (democrat) rally for votes, where aspirations are like vapor and consequences hide around the corner. It started with Welcoming City ordinances. The silent majority stayed home on election day. The consequences are here now.
