Remember the NEVER used water tower? If not review this 2015 story: https://blnnews.com/2015/08/04/more-ineptness/
The below is from the water plan presented at the Bloomington City Council meeting last night:

.
That elevated tank is over 11 years old. Spending $60 million to finally use it is questionable, but at least it won’t be a monument to government ineptness anymore. I really hope the City isn’t creating it’s next monument.
There was an unscheduled drone presentation because of a Consent Agenda item. If you want to see that, it is earlier on the video.
Just hit PLAY to hear about the elevated tank – the presentation includes a picture of it:

From the WGLT article: “In the project manager’s letter of recommendation to thr city, he pointed to thr increased fuel costs and tsriffs as two factors driving up construction costs, specifically the 50% tsrriff on steel, aluminum and copper, and the 25% tsrriff on semiconductors.”
Thanks Trump 🤬. Shouldn’t be surprised. Government deciding to meddle in the free market always drives up costs for people. Someone might want to remind Trump that Republicans are supposed ro be free-market capitalists. And that we voted for him NOT to start middle east wars that drive up the cost of gas and diesel.
That policy had our essential needs coming from countries that hate us. Want drugs cut off because they can?
Phil, if the new socialist (Democrat) party wins control, as far as free market interference goes….. you ain’t seen nothin yet. Nothin.
