I’m not talking about the fight between Bloomington, Normal, and the County over spending mental health dollars. That story will be tomorrow, you won’t want to miss it!
These pictures were taken at the recycle bins behind Walmart on Greenbriar.
The paper bin clearly says NO BAGS and NO CARDBOARD:

Inside is Corrugated Cardboard, bags, and mail with addresses clearly shown – I redacted them:

Separate bins exist for cardboard, but 10 steps is 10 too many.
Then there is this gem. Evidently the person who threw in filthy aluminum thinks the recycler is going to clean it for them.

Crushing bottles and cans at least a little isn’t possible? They take up a lot less space crushed.
People aren’t smart enough to be free citizens anymore. No problem, government is happy to step in.
Maybe the people who can’t follow the rules are just trying to create jobs. Sure.
One scary part about the people that do this is that they probably are eligible to vote. One can only hope that they don’t but the fact that they take time to recycle could mean that they take time too also vote!
