Meet one of the guys responsible for the non-binding referendum questions on the 11/3 ballot. This pic is Zach Gittrich’s Facebook profile pic, so he must be proud of it:

Poor Zach thinks we are a democracy. He probably voted for anyone who claimed they are “defending democracy”. It really hard to defend something we aren’t. The uneducated voters fell for it. We are a representative republic which means we elect representatives that most closely believe what we do. Democracy is mob rule. Those ballot questions are mob rule. “Feelings” make for really bad politics. Elected officials aren’t required to bow to the angry mob because of dumb ballot questions.

Keep that thought in mind while I switch to Rep Sharon Chung.

Chung quotes:

Chung said she is part of a group within the Democratic caucus that calls itself the “New Democrats.” She said that group focuses on bipartisanship and a moderate viewpoint, and its proposals do not always have the 60 Democratic votes required.

“I think sometimes our voices, in the past have gotten a little muddied and have been ignored, and that’s kind of been a frustration of ours and mine,” she said.

“I want somebody I can trust who has the same sort of moral compass as I do,” she said. “Somebody … that can be able to wrangle all the different legislators and all our different geographical challenges.”

Bipartisan is laughable since democrats have supermajorities and republicans have no voice. Chung is frustrated? Voters evidently didn’t care about Pritzker’s 63 tax and fee hikes in the past 8 years, but informed people sure are! Pritzker and democrats claims to represent the “working class” while taxing their federally exempt tips and overtime. They are working for you. 🤦‍♀️

Moral compass?

What happens when Gittrich and Chung meet?

If Sharon Chung wants to explains, tell her to comment. She won’t. The left thinks nobody will find out if they keep quite.

One more thing:

Meet the guy Zach worked with on those ballot questions:

Guys like this are responsible for your high electricity rates. Turbines are full of oil. From AI: A typical modern utility-scale wind turbine holds roughly 50–80 gallons (about 190–300 liters) of lubricating oil, primarily in the gearbox.

So much for “ending dependence on fossil fuels”!

I bet Sonny doesn’t know the Peoria County Board (he lives in Bloomington by the way) would have had a tough time saying no since Pritzker wants higher costs and also wants to end fossil fuels.

One more thing Sonny doesn’t get:

The tax revenue does show up when they are built. Government uses that to expand whatever they want expanded. Revenue then decreases because the turbines lose value with age. Governments never matching that reduction to spending, they just raise everyone’s taxes to compensate. Brilliant plan.
