My husband sent a renewal request for his FOID card 12/28/2012.   The check was cashed 1/24/2013.

I emailed them 3/7/2013 asking for the status.   Received an email 3/19: “Your background is being reviewed. You should hear something soon.”

The card was finally received April 19th!

Since my husband doesn’t have a background to check, maybe the state should scrap FOID cards since they aren’t capable of processing requests!  Is this their idea of gun control?
