Illinois ranks dead last in TRUST for leaders

When very few politicians in Illinois are held accountable, is this a surprise?

Local politicians move on to State offices, accountability must starts on the LOCAL level.

(CNSNews.com) – The people of North Dakota put more trust and confidence in their state government than people in any other state, while the people of Illinois put the least.

In polling done in June through September 2013, Gallup asked at least 600 people in each state this question: “How much trust and confidence do you have in the government of the state where you live when it comes to handling state problems–a great deal, a fair amount, not very much or none at all?

Seventy-seven percent of the people surveyed in North Dakota said they had a great deal or fair amount of trust and confidence in their state government. That edged out Wyoming, where 76 percent said they had a great deal or fair amount of trust and confidence in their state government.

Illinois ranked dead last, with only 28 percent saying they had a great deal or fair amount of trust and confidence in the state government.

  1. Anyone who would trust our Illinois state legislators I would have to say has never studied our state government. Thanks to Chicago Progressive Constitution hating politicians our state is constantly bombarded by un-Constitutional laws that sometimes gets passed. A good case and point is the Illinois FOID card. Illinois is the only state in the United States where you have to have a FOID (Federal Owner IDentification) card to own a firearm. Even though I have one and abide by this un-Constitutional law the FOID card law is totally unconstitutional, as it makes exercising the RIGHT to KEEP and BEAR arms conditioned on the state granting us “permission” to do so. That makes our 2nd Amendment Right as Americans nothing more than a state granted “Privilege.” This law was passed here in Illinois back in 1968, when the misinterpreted Miller vs. US was the law that Illinois courts applied it to. Under that interpretation, the courts held that the 2nd Amendment only guaranteed states the right to have militias ( National Guards), and that this was not an individual Right so citizens would have to have their rights granted by the state! As an American patriot who keeps his eye on government so that it does not go astray, I would have to agree with this poll, that Illinois politicians are the least trusted by true Americans. The sad truth is that now that this Chicago Obama gangster government has hijacked D.C. this Constitution hating style of government is spreading this cancer nation wide!
