Thursday: Socialism at ISU UPDATE

By:  Diane Benjamin

This Thursday could be a monumental day across the country!  There is a Million Student March – ISU has a chapter.

The local organizer is Zachary Braun, an employee at Walgreens and an ISU student.  His LinkedIn account describes him as:

Team Leader at Progressive Democrats of America

What are they marching for?

Free College Education

Forgive all student debt

And finally, $15 wage for all campus workers.

(Is a free course in basic economics included?)

Here’s the national website:  http://studentmarch.org/what-is-millionstudentmarch/

How valuable is a free high school education?  A free college education is going to be better?

From the website:  Education is a Right.

Obviously the public education system failed to teach that our rights come from God.  If government grant rights, government can take them away.

Yes, higher education is a disaster – but who created this disaster?

GOVERNMENT

Look at the list of supporters.  Socialists.  Remember when socialism was a bad word?  The German Nazi’s were socialist.  Maybe these kids don’t know the real party name:  National Socialist German Workers’ Party.

Nice kids!  Maybe the public school system forgot to cover WWII.

So, the participants think the government that created this disaster is going to fix it because they march?

Government took over student loans and raised the interest rate to pay for ObamaCare!  Did their public education teach them that?

So far the ISU Facebook page shows 8 (EIGHT!) people marching.  https://www.facebook.com/events/1518819015106138/

Only 195 were invited, maybe that’s all the socialists they could find.

Zachary, government isn’t going to fix it.  Your LinkedIn account says you want a career in politics.  Add some courses in American and World History.  Study the socialist countries now going bankrupt and desperately trying to end the entitlements and high taxes.

You don’t need college to do it, if debt is your problem – quit signing up for more.  Take thousands of your buddies with you.  Higher education will only reform when students quit paying for it.

Life sucks, but not as bad as it will if you succeed Zachary.

A reader sent me this pic.  The same one is on Zachary’s Facebook page.  Notice anybody familiar?  No surprise, his Facebook has a lot of Bernie Sanders propaganda.

  1. It makes me feel sad to hear people say that college education should be free. How are all those university employees going to survive if they have to work for free?

    1. Why would we have to work for free? If (and that’s a big f-ing if!) this should succeed, I’m pretty sure I’d still get paid.
It will NEVER be free, nor should it. Should the cost be a lot lower, absolutely! But not free. I’d think you’d be surprised to know that most people who work in higher ed don’t share the sentiment that it should be free. You only here from those with big mouths…

  2. Little brats with a sense of entitlement! Anything of value has to be earned. If you can’t afford college, get a job and save your money until you can. Or, join the military and commit to serve our country for several years (including being sent to a war zone) in order to qualify for tuition assistance. The only rights in this country are life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness.

  3. Since we know Tari reads your blog, I’ll remind him that he, this college kid, and their kind produce, create, invent, build, fix, and contribute NOTHING to society other than yelling rhymes and hand painted signs. These people used to be relegated to the “sit down and shut up” corners of society until some of them got elected as president and mayor of BLM. It’s just a matter of time until they’re shamed out of office and relegated back to the scrap heap of history.

  4. Having come from a socialist country where everything was suppose to be free these poor twits have no clue for what they wish. When there is no capitalism and jobs lets see how they like waiting in bread lines, gas lines, no heat etc. and probably then they may have something to whine about.

  5. I saw him outside of my building when I left work today. A faculty member seemed to be challenging him on his quest for free tuition…

  6. Hey, you should really look up your history and international polititcs. Just because a party says it’s socialist or democratic, doesn’t mean in any way that it is. Nazi Germany was facist. Just because you are happy with the status quo doesn’t give you a reason to bash someone who would like to see change. If you want to talk about God, you should remember that God never gave you the right to talk shit. Oh, and the pursuit of happiness is not mentioned in the Constitution, sorry. It really should be though.

      1. You missed the point completely. Just because Germany called themselves National Socialists, does not mean they were socialists. By that decree, you must consider the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea a democratic republic. My goodness, that is the most unpatriotic thing I have ever heard. Why do you hate America so much?

  7. This is so freaking adorable. Trust me, your efforts do not go unappreciated. Keep on keeping us informed, you little freedom fighter you!
