(FARMER CITY, IL –  11/22/2015): Conservative talk show host Ian Bayne will return morning drive tomorrow from 6am to 9am on the new “NewsTalk 98.3” WHP in Bloomington and Champaign, IL.

Bayne had been let go from WRPW “Cities” 92.9 on September 1 due to his ‘being too conservative’ for station management.

WHP will also carry former congressional candidate and Breitbart editor Mike Flynn from 3-5pm.

Also in the lineup is Laura Ingraham, Dana Loesch, and Jerry Doyle.

The conservative NewsTalk 98.3 will face two mainstream talk stations in Bloomington: Bayne’s former employer, Cities 92.9 WRPW, and WJBC AM 1230. Bayne’s replacement on WRPW was the former PD at the liberal-leaning WJBC.

WHP will be the only FM talk station in Champaign, going up against AM station WDWS 1400.

Bayne was the morning drive host on Cities 92.9 from May 2014 until September 2015. Prior to that, he was a syndicated weekend host on a dozen or so stations nationally, and a political consultant for various high profile candidates in Massachusetts, including Mitt Romney in 2002. Bayne filled in for Joe Walsh on Salem’s AM 560 “The Answer” in April of 2014.
