WOW! I find THIS interesting, being a “alum” of Irving school. Both my sister and I went there and finished college with “tough” majors. I guess it’s all in how “YOU” apply yourself?? Makes me wonder about ALL those “Honor student” bumper stickers.

Parenting probably matters

Raw data like that does require a conversation. In fairness, % of free/reduced, student mobility, proportion of special education case load, and class size all play a role. Yes, parenting matters, but those are the four the district may respond to.
