Democrats run wild

By:  Diane Benjamin

Democrats have only been in complete control of the state for a short time.  Already they have passed a $15 minimum wage which make Illinois even less competitive with all of the surrounding states.

Other things being seriously considered:

    • Removing all regulations including parental notification on abortion
    • Allowing abortion up to birth
    • A charge per mile instead of a gas tax
    • Progressive income tax
    • Mailing ballots to every registered voter without receiving a request for one
    • Gun control  (regulating good people while doing nothing to criminals)
    • Taking out bonds to pay pensions
    • Pritzker is supplementing salaries for staff with no transparency
    • Taxing retirement income

Since democrats rule by “feel good” and anything that increases their power, the unintended consequences are immaterial to them.  Just like California, Illinois is being set up to never elect anyone from another party.   Absolute power corrupts absolutely – yes it will only get worse from here.

Thanks to every one who filed a witness slip opposing mailing ballots.  Roughly 5 times more were filed in opposition than support, even though the local democrats asked people on Facebook to file ones in support.  Maybe all democrats aren’t stupid.

Guess who thinks things are going great in Springfield?

Tari Renner:    http://www.wjbc.com/2019/02/13/renner-new-illinois-leadership-seems-promising/?fbclid=IwAR1oiz5-yBSsPQCaFzwPxDjuEszschLQqGkSrdOOt56fDzc7XQkILAe9ziU

Imagine what this list will look like after 4 years?

  1. I keep wondering what is the model of utopia the Dems are trying to achieve? California? Detroit? New York? How is the average quality of life for regular tax payers in these states? So delusional!

  2. Taxing our way to prosperity. Yeah, that’s the ticket! Whaddya wanna bet there’s an exit tax in the works for those who want to move away.

  3. Yes just get the popcorn ready and sit back! The Democrats are really doing some great economic things recently. We have the Green New Steal and just the other day their loony leftist bartender from the Bronx, Sandy (AOC) was celebrating chasing 25,000 high paying Amazon jobs away from New York City. Yes, we have a special kind of stupid growing in the Democratic Party all across the nation. Our Democrats here in Illinois, who have years of experience doing the worst things imaginable to our economy are leading the nationwide Democratic movement toward stupid.

  4. Of course King Tari LOVES Prickster and his best buds in Springfield. King Tari want to pass laws in Bloomington that emulate them . And when his stacked council better known as the Court Jesters get put on the council King Tari will be able to tax the citizens of Bloomington with all the new ideas he’s gotten from Prickster.

  5. Stanky, We seldom disagree, but I don’t think Renner is an idiot. Remember, his hero is Che Guavara. He is a DEEPLY committed Communist, with sociopathic tendencies, who would literally murder your grandchildren to advance that “Cause”.

Wish he was just an idiot, he would be far less dangerous that way.

    1. Is he an idiot no… does he act like an idiot to us normal non-academic people who live in the real world? Yes, I would assume that his IQ is higher than average but education DOES not make you smarter & it certainly does not impart common sense into the minds of the educated. Quite the contrary in fact… Someone like Tari… who has the status of Department Head at a University and years of playing the part of (I am really smart because of what I do) gives him an holy-than-thou attitude than oozes from every pore in his body. This is why we normal people react so strongly to his over thought, over analysed, narrow minded ideologically based perspective, words and actions. There is no job in the United States that requires more down-to-earth common sense and pragmatism than being the mayor of a town or city. The problem here is we elected someone who is neither down to earth, has any common sense or is pragmatic in any way. He is an Ivory Tower professor with a far left ideological perspective. This is why, with him in a leadership position, Bloomington will continue to decline.

  6. One fact we must be aware of. Electric semi trucks are a reality. While not on our roads at this moment except for some test trucks, several trucking company’s do have hundreds on order. Today there is no way to determine what or how or when electric trucks should pay their fair share of Highway usage costs. Easiest way, add it on at the charging locations, but at what rate? Quarterly, or Yearly? Why so fast? Projected delivery of the first trucks is in 2020.

    1. Wonderful – what does this have to do with anything? Thanks to our record breaking production of oil here in the United States (thank President Trump please) and the low low prices at the pump – I don’t see much of electric anything going on the road right now. But then the $60,000 imaginary Rivian electric truck with most likely be a big hit. Right Mayor Clueless Koos?

  7. Maggie, you are correct, Renner is not an idiot. He is diabolical. His words and his actions, thankfully, betray him.
Only a limited number of people want to be associated with him. He is a menace to the citizenry of Bloomington.

  8. Given a choice between capitalism and communism those who choose communist ideologies are an idiot in my book. It’s just that simple. Perhaps the definition of “idiot” is not entirely accurate but it still fills the bill for me…Regards.

  9. I watch the news in this state everyday, and everyday I think I need to stock up on more guns and ammo. Things are going to get worse way before they get better.

  10. I’ll take you up on all 3. I’ll get upset, move & watch from a different state & pray for all who are here. I bet Tari was bullied when he was young.

  11. Evil prevails when good men remain silent. Diane, I am willing to speak up & speak out but I need you to tell me what you want done. I can write letters & call Congressmen. I don’t know what to do or where to start but if you have a plan I am willing to follow & I have friends I can contact to join the fight. I hope you will utilize my offer.

  12. No good person will ever be able to win an election here and achieve any goals. Im not even talking perfect or flawless, just a person that understands these jobs are community service. It’s an honor to serve your city, county, state and country not a paycheck. But “to serve” has been lost by way of agenda.
It’s to far down the rabbit hole to come back. Any real attempt to correct the issues would pull the rug out from thousands of people that have gotten used to the culture these people have created. It would be extremely painful. I say stop the majority of this bleeding and help private non for profit take some of them over. The transition would be excruciating but possible. Those programs worth their weight would survive aand those that the Gov has been wasting money on would go away.
None the less, it wouldn’t be a popular few years and I’m assuming a very dangerous time for that person.
