Rodriguez was bailed out last night.  I don’t know by who.  He is not represented  by a Public Defender, somebody is paying his lawyer.

A grand jury will probably hear testimony next week, the police are still investigating.

Will Rodriguez still be in the country by then?

We will see.

  1. Contact the Immigration Project, Inc. in Bloomington. They are extremely active in providing legal and monetary assistance to these snakes. Even if they didn’t post bail themselves, bet ya they know who did. Likely they know all about this guy but would have no problem lying to you about it or claiming client privilege.

    1. Another possible candidate would be Carrillo’s employer, Illinois People’s Action. Plenty of lawyers and money to funnel from Chicago.

  2. Good that he was let out on bond. I mean with his close ties to the community. There only a 90% probability Mr Rodriguez will obscond to his home country. He ran from the scene of the accident, it is fair to assume he will run from this as well. Then we can pay the costs to extradite, prosecute and then house, clothe, education and medical care for the duration of his stay in the U.S. Upon his release from custody Illinois will refuse to notify ICE of his status and he will likely disappear back into a community here in the U.S.

A citizen died, and the authorities appear more worried about letting the immigration status of a suspected criminal out to the public. It is good to know that the authorities are on the side of the people.

  3. Undoubtedly in Mexico by now. Don’t these idiots take into consideration the suspects likelihood to flee? He left the scene of the crime! I would say that makes the probability very high! So they let him out! Who was the judge that set bail so low AND/OR didn’t make make he stayed in jail? Who’s side is law enforcement on anyway? This is unreal. Of that had been me I can promise you I would not be out on bond.

  4. If Rodriquez doesn’t show up for his court date, will advocates Jenn Carillo or Sonny Garcia take his place?
Or will they crawl under a rock some place to hide?

  5. Talk to any law enforcement officer they will tell you the reason he fled the scene was because he was either drunk or high but your illustrious liberals will claim that he was just afraid. Welcome to the new Bloomington. How sad!

  6. The newspaper said he fled the television news said he fled now we are hearing he hung around I guess all we know for sure is that we have a dead American killed by a illegal driver still so sad .

  7. Let me guess…no license, no registration, no insurance and no green card! Also a guess…bail paid by a politically connected person in B-N. Is this what a “Welcoming” Community looks like??? In the meantime I have doubled my Uninsured / Under-insured section of my insurance coverage. Wait “till drunk drivers add “recreational” pot to the mix. Exciting times ahead in Illinois.

  8. Maybe he will flee if he reads the comments from a community that has already judged him and found him guilty on all counts before ALL the investigative facts are in. Try putting his shoes on your feet and see if you’d want to tried and convicted based on some, but, no all, of the facts. Talk about the unfairness. That could be said about both sides.

    1. Not sure what’s left to debate in terms of his innocence, but please enlighten me? Considering he turned himself in and was places at the scene of the crime (and fleeing it) via himself and eyewitnesses. The man who was killed was the son of one of the most important people in my life but please tell me more about his shoes.

  9. Who did the vehicle he was driving belong to?? How did he come to be driving without a license?? No insurance? Lots of questions to be explored here !!

    1. It belongs to someone who is likely going to be a party in a wrongful death/negligence lawsuit.
