This is something I have wanted to do for a LONG time. We aren’t being taught our founding documents which allows threats freedom. We have people attempting to steal liberty and too many who don’t understand why America is different from every other country. Here we believe in the individual not some distant government running your life for their benefit.

What are inalienable rights?

The Declaration of Independence proclaims all people are born with inalienable natural rights. These are rights no government can grant and no government can take away. These rights are natural to being human: Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. Democratic Socialism transfers those right to government.

Why does government exist?

The Declaration of Independence declares: Governments are Instituted Among Men to secure their natural rights. Government derives it’s just powers from the consent of the governed. Think local, who is governing with the consent of the people paying the bills? Anybody?

What is the Consent of the Governed?

Government’s legal and ethical authority is limited. Government can only deprive someone of life, liberty, or property if the people consent. This should make it obvious why Pritzker’s extended Executive Orders are illegal. We elected people to represent us, they have not been consulted and therefore there is no consent of the people. Business owners have lost the Natural Right to earn a living. A pandemic doesn’t allow government to infringe on natural rights without the consent of the governed. (Besides, the ECs aren’t working anyway)

What are self-evident truths?

We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

This was a radical idea in 1776 when monarchies were the norm and slavery was legal. The accepted truth around the world was some were born better than others. The Declaration of Independence began to change that and the change is ongoing.

If you don’t know why America is exceptional you can’t defend this country against those attempting to overthrow it. We have enemies within, you have to be educated to combat them. Socialism and Democratic Socialism transfers everything the Declaration of Independence gave individuals to government.

Our Founding Fathers provided a government where individual rights usurp oppressive despots. That is why “Limited Government” is vital to individual freedom and liberty. Want to keep yours? Get it back? Start local by voting next April.
