The woman who wrote this meme calls herself a domestic terrorist because Attorney General Garland wants the FBI to arrest parents who stand up for their kids at school board meetings. I believe the school she mentions is in Rhode Island.

Priceless commentary from the school superintendent, who is likely an unattractive bent pedophile. Quote: “…and in my opinion would be considered a valuable resource for someone who is working through issues of sexual identity and/or identifying as transgender.” Really? Does this theoretical “someone” need an instruction manual on how to perform fellatio? Why? And more than one woke opportunist quack has asserted that “transgenderism” has nothing whatsoever to do with sexual preference. Public schools need to be obliterated completely and rebuilt from the ground up USING NO FEDERAL OR STATE MONEY. Only LOCAL money from the people in the community, like it used to be.
Does this really surprise anyone? Librarians try to sneak in “banned books” all the time.
So let me get this straight. WGLT headline from yesterday reads “Lewd instructions to child cited in opening statements at former piano teacher’s trial.” And obviously this is not a good thing.
But this book being in the school library isn’t considered “lewd instructions?”
I think there’s a whole lot of “educators” that need to resign and/or be charged with the same things as Aaron Parler.
This is just disgusting. Why are we forced to pay for this garbage?

Who appointed you the arbiter of what is pornography? In fact who appointed anyone on this forum as the authority on pornography? No one. All I see here is Bible belt pearl clutching on parade. Perhaps I can hand out smelling salts and fainting couches to everyone involved here.
Graphic novels often explore difficult subjects like Gender Queer. Some graphic novel have a great deal of violence. I have not seen any one complain about the Walking Dead graphic novels or the Preacher graphic novels both which have significant violence and adult language.
Parents don’t have a say?
You are promoting censorship and book banning. Where does this stop? Where you and everyone on this forum throws books you deem “porn” in a huge bonfire? That’s what a totalitarian government that doesn’t allow free thought and reading including controversial topics, leads to, inability to accept other ideas and other worldviews.
If you read the e-mail, Ms Brown explains that the book in question is available but is not required reading and is not part of any curriculum. So no one is reading this book who doesn’t want to read it.
The same people who deem this “porn” also appeared at Bloomington Public Library to complain about the book demanding people be fired. This is outrageous censorship. We as a free society show have the freedom to read controversial topics without people deciding what we can and can’t read. You’re certainly not saving any kids from “porn”. Apparently you don’t understand that your little darlings can Google things way more graphic than that image.

The parents are appointed. Are you a parent? There are things that need taught at home. Period. It is not the schools business to have this material available. Try being reasonable. Government, schools and irrational people like you should not dictate anything.

two words. HOME SCHOOL! Time for parents in Illinois to do what many all over the country are doing, protest by keeping your kids home. If parents are going to be labeled terrorists time to start acting like one! As a former Unit 5 student this crap infuriates me to see what was once a wonderful district go to the sewer.
This is another consequence of elections. Democrats hav no shortage of people willing to run for political offices. Conservatives say they have better things do than run but they have no problem spending their time complaining about the decisions of the winning Democrats.
Want to fix problems? Stop electing Democrats then expecting them to act like Republicans and start running for office.
Has Dayna Brown and Unit 5 lost all moral decency? It is irrelevant that this image was of 2 boys. I would have the same stance if this were 2 girls or a boy and a girl. If a police officer saw the acts depicted going on in public view they would stop it and moral decency violation citations would be issued. It is illegal for kids to buy magazines with this content at gas stations until they are 18 but they can check out the same content at a school Library designed for children. Movies with this image would be rated X. So our children get to see in their schools acts which our police, the entertainment industry, and even gas station attendants protect our children from. They should have thanked the parents for identifying the content and removed it from the shelves. Instead they defended the content being available to kids under 18. Shame on you Unit 5.
My concern is if I complain to the school will the woke staff bully my child because of me?
I doubt this is the only questionable book in their library. Maybe parents should take a field trip and check.
