Update to the Benjamin School and the Grove story

A parent told me that once the trail was done bus service was stopped. At the west end of this trail is a 4 lane road with no traffic control officer. These kids are elementary, it is unsafe for them to cross that road without an adult present. (I see drivers run the stop sign!)

Guess how much that trail cost? It’s in this story from 2016: https://blnnews.com/2016/12/12/bloomington-council-tonight/

Funny how local governments pretend “grants” aren’t tax money. Total cost $225,000.

Benjamin Elementary knows the current drop off and pickup is an accident waiting to happen. Since this problem has existed for a long time, don’t expect anything to change.

Alderman Jeff Crabill said Monday night he lives in the Grove. Some parents need to be knocking on his door!

Nobody noticed my last name is the same as the school?

Since I’m only a Benjamin by marriage I can’t take any credit. It was a distant cousin of my late father-in-law that I believe donated the land. Since the school was named Benjamin, I tend to believe the story is true.
