Pritzker won McLean County because of Bloomington:
Pritzker: 15,620
Bailey: 11,863
County:
Pritzker: 15,752
Bailey: 19,035
Totals:
Pritzker: 31,372
Bailey: 30,898
The GOP needs to take lessons on how to govern from Ron DeSantis. Personally I’m tired of Trump antics, DeSantis needs to be the 2024 nominee.
Most GOP leadership in Illinois needs replaced yesterday. An evenly split County Board is unacceptable.
The national GOP isn’t any better. I have no faith in Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House. Mitch McConnel is even worse. The country proved last night they don’t trust Republicans either.

Your last paragraph says it all. No trust in Republican leadership . Very sad …. for both parties. Voting for more-trusted vs less-trusted moves the dialog away from the other issues. But, trust is the gateway.

In regards to Trump or DeSantis. Trump is too easily influenced by others around him. DeSantis holds a stronger line. Therefore DeSantis might be a better choice. That said, the national popularity Trump currently has blows DeSantis away. With 10’s of thousands attending Trump rallies just about everywhere he goes DeSantis does not match that loyal base. Trump can pull off a win. DeSantis is questionable. The demonrats would love anyone but Trump to run as the perfect setup to steal another election. My money is on Trump.

GOP leadership endorsed Democrats/RINOs Irvin and Preston. Leadership is on a different page than their base. When the polls are analyzed I expect to see many Republicans stayed home because they feel their party left them.

DeSantis. Sure his overall school scores are going down. He can’t get enough actual trained
teachers to teach. they’re asking untrained former military to teach. Florida ranks near the bottom of the pack when it comes to education. In a recent study, Florida was ranked 47th out of 50 states in terms of education. This is a disappointing ranking for a state that prides itself on being a leader in tourism and recreation. The stupidest thing he did was pick a fight with Disney. Now the
residents of Orange County and parts of Osceola will have to pay water, sewer and structural
upkeep. Something Disney took care of. How much will taxes have to go up. “Orange County Tax Collector Scott Randolph, a Democrat, has said that doing away with the district could cause the county to increase property taxes for residents by 20% to 25% to cover any inherited costs.”
Let’s see, the busing of migrants from Texas to Florida? That may be again Florida law. “The transportation service company that the Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, used to arrange flights for migrants to Martha’s Vineyard has contributed money to the governor’s top allies and has connections to a Florida official in charge of its immigration policy.
Vertol Systems Inc, an Oregon-based aviation company that DeSantis used to fly asylum seekers to the affluent, liberal-leaning Massachusetts island, has connections to DeSantis’s political allies and has donated money to various campaigns, NBC News reported.
The company once had legal representation from the Florida congressman Matt Gaetz, who was previously part of DeSantis’ transition team when he became governor, and Gaetz’s former law partner, Larry Keefe, who now works as the state’s “public safety tsar” and carries out the controversial relocation program.
And: A Florida judge on Tuesday found that Gov. Ron DeSantis’ office is not following the state’s public records law and ordered the administration to turn over records connected to the migrants flights from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard within the next 20 days. I guess human human trafficking
and being cruel and inhuman and destroying the Florida School system is just what you want. I wonder how much money the Federal Government will have to give Florida when the hurricane
hits…..

Who’s Regina? That’s not my name. Rob Bernstein is my name. A whole lot
of crying in people’s beers here. The simple fact is that Bailey was a horrible
candidate and would have been a horrible governor. As to DeSantis, he has
gerrymandered Florida so only Republicans can win. He has quite a few
scandals to his name. It’s also hilarious you
think the GOP should be replaced. With what? The Tea Party? That fizzled out
big time…..

No Diane. I do not want to lose again. But I am not into being fooled into giving into the divide and conquer strategy. I said that perhaps DeSantis is a better choice but until he can prove that he has the folowing that Trump has (which beats the crap out of anything the demonrats have) I’m sticking with Trump. That said a Trump DeSantis 2024 ticket would be great and hopefully lead to a DeSantis/ ______ ticket in 2028.

That’s what I am hoping for, Trump/DeSantis 2024 and DeSantis/?? (several to pick from) in 2028. But, until the full on voting shenanigans by the repulsive Left can be stopped there will be few and far between victories for the Right.
Oh, and I will be blaming everything wrong and bad in Illinois and everywhere else on the brain dead dummies who voted for things like Pritzker, Whitmer, Hochul etc etc etc and Fetterman winning proves that YES the Left will vote not only for a potato (Biden) but even a rotting potato, Fetterman. I don’t think these over sized toddlers have any idea what is coming. I hope they starve and freeze, and can’t even charge their ridiculous EVs because I know for a fact very few have prepped at all.

Why do we need parties at all? Why can’t the people simply fund who they want? We don’t need a national party telling us who to vote for.

We don’t need a national party telling us who to vote for, but the existence of parties is inevitable – running any election campaign larger than a neighborhood works better with an organization.
Government should stop dictating (and subsidizing) internal workings of political parties.
We Really need to adopt approval voting / acceptance voting to both give independents and smaller parties a better chance and to provide results that better match voters’ preferences.

Why do we need parties at all? They are merely money collectors. Can the people of this great land not decide for themselves? Why do we need parties telling us who to vote for? Ask people in Pennsylvania how Uncle Fester Fetterman won last night and you have your answer how DeSantis or Trump fares in 2024. The cheating in states like PA, AR, MI or any other locale is a high art form manufactured by Pol activists you haven’t met yet. Worry about the sad state of affairs in BN, McLean County and Illinois before worrying about anything else. I weep for my former hometown but hardly feel sorry for anyone that chooses to stay. A fair election in Indiana yesterday. Happy to be a Hoosier.

Fetterman didn’t win unless you believe that the American people are absolutely stupid. Gullible maybe, but not stupid. Clearly this election like many before have been stolen from the true winner. Let’s not forget that OZ is also a lib, not conservative. The steal is on for Tetterman because he will be controlled just like Biden.

Have you read that article with an objective eye? It’s painful to read. We’ve all encountered left-leaning ‘news’ that is clearly more spin and sensationalist bias than anything else, and this is the right-leaning equivalent.
It does bring up a theory worth considering, but to base one’s position on this would be comparable to voting based on CNN news coverage.
(I have no dog in this hunt – if these two were to face off in the primary today, I’d sit out and call it a win-win – just critiquing the source material.)

Much better article than the Gateway Pundit above.
Reminds me tho to warn voters against ‘litmus tests’. If you base your support of a candidate or nominee on a single issue, you run the risk of de-supporting somebody you 90% agree with and effectively promoting an opponent that you 90+% Disagree with, usually including that same litmus-test issue. Jus’ sayin’….

I recall Ted Cruz sharing his experience as a freshman senator about the lack of work most senators exhibited which was to spend 10% of their time in DC and the other 90% of their time on the donation circuit.
Disgraceful! More than likely this is both parties habits and both Houses. This has to stop.
As for Trump, he lost points today with his current twitter rant aimed at DeSantis.

The only way to end ‘Senators for Sale’ and the like is to make them a bad investment, and the only way to do that is to take back most of the power and money we’ve given to the government. Realistically the most likely way that will happen is some sort of collapse and starting over, but if you share my hope of doing it without mass suffering of some sort that path will include one or both of the Libertarian Party and Approval Voting.

Antics? If not that with the orange man, then something else with the next candidate. Any opposition to the lunatic left narrative will be heavily attacked by the main stream media. As George Goebells said, “Tell a lie often enough, it becomes truth.” Following that Nazi mantra of repetitiveness, the brainwashing takes effect and effectively created. the never Trumpers. Now let’s think back to Ron Paul. No antics, no locker room talk, no everyday attacks for four years, no accusations of being racist. He’s intelligent, mild manned and basically squeaky clean. So the lame stream media ignored him. I don’t know but that’s my stand in a nutshell. Not backing down. Done for now, wish you all the best.
