Tri-Valley taxpayers: The Board is planning to steal your money

By: Diane Benjamin

Don’t fall for “the rate is slightly lower”. Your assessed value is MUCH higher making a lower rate obvious. Can you afford another 8.66% added to what you already pay?

Planning to show up? The room is small – force them to move to a larger space. When is enough enough? If you don’t attend they will know they can do anything and you will not be outraged.

It is the fault of the citizens that life in Illinois is unaffordable. It’s about to get much worse.

  1. One way to lower assessed values is to continue raising taxes until there are no more home buyers. Population is also starting to decline. I can’t imagine why triV needs this increase. Teachers aren’t getting increases. I do notice that pay and pension stacking (something teachers cannot do) for administrators have grown substantially.

  2. Has happened at bhs for years. The last joke of a principal makes more as a retiree than your median middle class person does. And bhs continues to spiral downward in educational performance.

  3. There was an exciting, nail-biting middle school basketball game played yesterday @ BJHS as the Tri-Valley Vikings outlasted the Knights. Big Crowd for both sides too!
