I had a HARD time getting past the Bills and Payroll report – here’s one more to see:

Yes, staff wire transferred .30 to themselves.
The regular agenda has nothing on it. Plenty of other stuff on the Consent Agenda though!
1)
We hear there is severe housing shortage locally, but lets welcome “immigrants”. The commission gets members tonight led by the City’s Marxism (DEI) director:

2)
Have the police officers who quit returned their uniforms or do all officers get new?

3)
A bid was put out with language that wasn’t clear, but it couldn’t have been discovered earlier. Sure.

4)
The City is jumping on DC’s Marxist plans for America for free(taxpayers) grant money. $34 trillion in debt isn’t near enough! Everything in yellow is made up. Areas of the City flooded because they weren’t important enough to invest in, past leadership wanted legacy projects instead. See Coliseum, BCPA, etc. The same mistakes are repeated over and over. Now the City wants grants to pay for what they should have funded years ago. Coming soon: Let’s spend MILLIONS more downtown!

This could be a short meeting depending on how many show up for Public Comment and how much babbling happens after the Consent Agenda is approved.

Stop the chemtrails and put the climate back in Mother Nature’s hands. She did a much better job.
American Citizens must not allow the infiltration of illegal immigrants into their country or communities. It’s dangerous and it takes needed resources away from American citizens, who have worked hard and had to pay their share of taxes for the government to even have these funds. These immigrants must be vetted, must be law abiding and become a citizen who wants to assimilate to America, who is willing then to contribute to the taxation (funds) that are in turn used for those who then qualify. Otherwise, they are just illegals breaking the law, causing discord, living off the back of the tax payers.
Most funds/taxes collected and offered by our government are unaccounted for or misused and social security is truly a Ponzi scheme, however, some are a hand up and shouldn’t be a handout. Remember government Does Not Make Money. They Take Money. That is how they get it, they take it from us. Our government has gotten TO BIG. In Illinois between the feds and our state they take a very large chunk of our hard earned money. Don’t you want it used responsibly for those of us who do contribute and need a hand up at times?
Obama’s Welcoming America coming home to roost. NIMBY?
If Baxter’s submitted a bid in 2021 that was approved by council, the numbers would no longer be valid 28 months later. And as far as grant money for a distressed area, how could this city qualify for that?
The basin Baxter is looking at is to be located on the west side of Bloomington where the old Illinois Power gasification plant was. They have done the engineering feasibility study for this project. This grant would be for the construction costs. By limiting the area of impact to the West side it can be considered a distressed and underserved area.
The basin Baxter is looking at is the East Street Basin to be located where the Convenient Center currently is. To date, the old Nicor property has not been acquired by the City but is under consideration once the land is remediated from pollutants.
