Cathy Beck doesn’t want you to know – see the last line of her email! She’s already planning to use taxpayer money to care for the (illegal) immigrants.
There are empty buildings in downtown Bloomington, Beck wants to hide them in the country were there is No Public Transportation. Brilliant. Is Beck planning on locking them in the shelter?
I hear State Farm has empty buildings!

They are planning on using their “Emergency” powers to usurp any opposition to this invasion. Bravo, nicely done!

Cathy Beck. Finally, someone doing their job! Someone using their head about the unregulated illegal invasion rather than just reverting to divisive rhetoric. The end result is – OMG what are we going to do?
I suspect Cathy Beck has already decided to fill up Bloomington and Normal’s open floor space and the backup plan is all the small towns in McLean County, so get ready. Wondering if the excluded attachment had estimates of expected future illegal numbers. There is no expectation the invasion will slow down in 2024.
Roughly – for 2024 – 300,000 illegals/month x 12 months = 3.6 million + 6 million existing = 9.6 million (3.5 Chicago’s)
As states (12) and cities like Chicago and New York close down their borders to illegals the burden on the rest of the country will become massive.
Additional considerations – calculate the cost/person x number of expected people.
1. iPhone and plan for every person
2. Cost of daily food for every person
3. Housing cost for every person
4. Education cost and availability for each child.
5. Average Healthcare cost of every person
6. Set of winter clothes for every person
7. Daily entertainment for every person
8. Spending money for every person
9. Transportation for every person
10. Other social needs for every person (translators, etc)
11. Cost to law enforcement as society breaks down when we are overwhelmed and cannot provide proper care.
Subtract this total cost from the current social care budget for existing citizens. More trouble.
I think (hope) that Cathy knows what these costs are. If she has had enough forethought to consider the total square footage needed to put a cot, she has calculated these costs too. She must have some info she’s not sharing. I expect the governor has given her forewarning on what to expect.

I see two sides to this. I am a planner. Like I want to have a plan in place for the unexpected. Being that she is in EM, is this part of her job? Rather than being reactionary when it happens, is she being proactive and trying to see what is out there? I am guessing she knows what “empty” spaces are available in Bloomington and Normal, but may not 100% know what community buildings in the out lying towns have kitchens/bathrooms, etc. Obviously the immigrant news is a hot topic right now. The attachment would sure tell a lot more about this story.
She is NOT a planner. She is an enabler who knows the intricacies of what beauracratic emergency powers can accomplish. She already embraced the foregone conclusion that the community will accept these invaders with open arms. And that any resistance is futile. She is part of the problem.

Have they tried New Salem ? Empty log cabins sitting there.
Becks home would be a great place to house them. Fill her home first then move on to filling McLean county board members homes ,then Koos home then Pam’s home. Plenty of rooms available just in both city council homes as well as everyone who wants to bring them in. They can feed and support them. Where are they going to put them. The local nursing home residents best watch out. New York is kicking elderly out of nursing homes and housing them there, you might see that in McLean County as well.
As the southern states bussed the invaders to the sanctuary cities, those cites became overwhelmed and began to experience the problems their policies created. They don’t like it. Some of those cities changed their tune. Many of their residents are fed up. Maybe next election they’ll vote these idiots out. Anyway gather up some names and addresses of the policy endorsers here and pass out a few dolllars with noted contact information of these people noting their kind hearts and compassion to help. If these local policy makers are so filled with love for their fellow man then let’s pitch in and help them achieve their goals of kindness, understanding, and real life experience of personally putting their love where their mouth is.
What better way is there to turn the rest of the state blue than to flood the rural areas with illegal aliens. I believe that has been the leftist’s plan all along.
The only way Jabba Pritzker and his band of marxist legislators can accomplish their re-settlement plan is to use loss of tax money or outright force. This is going to get really nasty. Most small town
residents will deeply resent any attempt to force a new culture upon them.
