Democrat “ethics”

By: Diane Benjamin

Illinois Democrats have been using tricks to pass legislation for as long as I can remember.

Here’s the trick:

  1. Take a bill that has been through committee(s) and been debated.
  2. Then strip everything out of that bill and insert other language having nothing to do with the bill and bring it to a vote. No debate – just vote.

They just did it again to change election law in the middle of an election cycle: https://www.thecentersquare.com/illinois/article_2b607af8-08cb-11ef-be4b-4314e8b49453.html?a?utm_source=thecentersquare.com&utm_campaign=%2Fnewsletters%2Flists%2Ft2%2Fillinois%2F&utm_medium=email&utm_content=headline

When asked about this bill Pritzker claimed it’s an ethics bill.

Obviously democrats don’t have any real ethics. If you love corruption you live in the right state.

It does limit who can be on the ballot in November and every election after. Maybe they are running out of campaign cash and don’t want to see any challenges they can’t fund.

The original bill was about DCFS. It no longer is: https://ilga.gov/legislation/BillStatus.asp?DocNum=2412&GAID=17&DocTypeID=SB&LegId=147311&SessionID=112&GA=103

Click on VOTES. Of course Chung and Koehler voted yes, they are part of the corruption.

  1. This is more a “politician” issue than a party issue. There are “bad characters” in both parties that are not immune to cheating the system and taking advantage of their positions
