I’m sure the problem is Bloomington’s downtown:

  1. Do you have an actual source for why the problem is downtown or are we just supposed to trust your opinion?

    1. Well duh. Nobody except criminals and drunks want to go there that’s why there’s a problem

  2. In there effort to revitalize downtown, there are some very strange businesses down there. Do they even pay rent? How do they make enough to pay all the bills and earn a living?

  3. Downtown Bloomington is on life support – no amount of cosmetic beautification is going to fix it. Basics like viable storefronts and urine free sidewalks would be a start.

  4. What day is the grand opening of the luxury apartments in the old State Farm building?
Maybe that is the delay in the downtown blooming. Do they need to replace the lead water pipes first. That might be the hold up.

    1. Considering the huge housing shortage, if they can’t make progress now, I would guess they never will.

I would much rather Bloomington put its focus on addressing Eastland Mall and all that prime space with rapidly decreasing tax value.
