How’s their marketing plan working?
Does ANYONE in local government see how ridiculous all this is? Maybe they will notice when they lose $2 million a month! Is shouldn’t be long at the rate they are accumulating losses.

But wait…Dick Durbin just secured an $800,000 grant from the feds for Connect Transit!

Just how stupid are these people!?!? The buses are too big……any idiot can see that! They are too few , and only service limited routes…..any idiot can see that too! The buses are helping destroy our streets…..again, any idiot can see that if the look! Seriously are the people making these decisions totally incompetent idiots? They just can’t be this dumb….they must on the take. I’ve met a lot of people in my life but I can’t remember any this stupid…..must be they are crooked. Imagine that in a democratic state.
They’re on the take. They are corrupt leftist progressive marxists. Wasting our tax dollars is all part of the plan. They elites get wealthier. We get poorer.
The decision makers at Connect are willing to make decisions that lack common sense and throw the tax payer “under the bus” because they must do what the enviro-crats want in order to keep their jobs. It is more important to them that they keep their jobs than make sensible decisions and act to protect the taxpayer.
Feds and State make the rules for getting money.

Huge buses in a small town. What kickback are the mayors or city councils receiving?
Three buses were parked at Wal-Mart in Normal, blocking a portion of the right lane, last week. Two drivers just sitting there in the cab. I counted a total of 8 passengers between the 3 buses. That’s a lot of fuel expenditure, salary, maintenance, equipment, etc for 8 riders.
In addition, all the bike lanes everywhere. Don’t see many pothole in those roads. Encountering bicyclists is like meeting a flock of geese. They are either very courteous and obey the “Rules of the Road” as is the law or extremely arrogant and disrespectful acting as though your a hindrance to their life and time. Forcing you to accept their decisions about what they want to do, sometimes causing traffic delays, near collisions, or even close calls. As a motorcyclist I tend to always remember that I’m smaller and less protected then a vehicle, thereby I ride very defensively and always give way to vehicles, as I don’t enjoy getting crunched.
Do the buses exceed any weight restrictions for these small roads?
I was behind a bus the other day and the fumes were horrendous. Either propane or natural gas. But wow. Nauseous. Straight out the back grill, no piping up high like a truck.
Vans, what’s wrong with vans or small trolleys. I mean is there a trophy somewhere for Mayors that have buses running in their towns?
