Public-Private partnerships leave PUBLIC holding the bag. If you didn’t read this story a couple days ago, you need to: https://blnnews.com/2015/07/23/bloomington-developer-gets-freebies/

Snyder Development partnered with Bloomington and didn’t pay, I still haven’t heard if they ever paid. That means all other taxpayers paid more to cover what they owed for what looks like decades. Next former mayor Tari Renner formed a budget task force and appointed a guy who works for Snyder to the task force. That epitomizes Public-Private Partnerships. The Private has their hand out, Public pays. Insiders profit at taxpayer expense.

Excerpt 2:

Solving a problem government created with more government is why anyone supporting this lunacy needs defeated on April 1, 2025. Government spending money that doesn’t exist increased interest rates to try to stop inflation. Stagflation is now the result, that problem will only get worse if self-correction of the markets isn’t allowed to happen.

Alderman Sheila Montney gave an example Monday night of what an interest rate buy down would look like for just 1 property. Financing the purchase of a $300,000 home with a $280,000 mortgage for 30 years: The difference between 6% interest and 4% interest over the life of the loan is $123,112.

Buying back points for just 200 units amounts to almost $25 million!

If you haven’t noticed, local elections are close to the national election on purpose. Most people will be sick of politics by November 5th, they won’t pay any attention to local races when campaigning starts shortly after. Low voter turnout is key to buying elections by those with agendas. You saw that with School Boards and bothe cities.

  1. Snyder’s development agreement, along with several other developer’s, was renegotiated. The developers had also failed to abide by the City ordinances which are accompanied by significant fines, which were never paid.

  2. Public Private “partnerships” private data, shady “awards”, and money funnel

    “For The Good”

    at our expense

Poor leadership in every area of “public service”

  3. Public private partnerships a reorganization with new players of the good ole’ boys club. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, rebranded and in your face.

    1. right on! Good ole boys club has kids coming up in the ranks and needs leadership jobs $$$

      what a scam

  4. If the mayor wants to do public private funding he can take both halves out of his salary. He’s a public figure and a private citizen. Same with the rest of the council.
