Unintended consequences are never considered when feelings are used to make decisions. Another Krystle Able post has unintended consequences splattered all over it. What is regulated you get less of. Econ 101. As a Democrat County Board member Able increased rents by voting to seize increased property taxes because property values increased. Every Democrat and some Republicans voted to tax unrealized gains. Just wait until the new multiplier is released! I wonder if it will be hidden until after the election. Affordable housing will never exist with high inflation and even higher property taxes. Mess with capitalism and rental properties will disappear.

Another unintended consequences: House Bill 5219 in Springfield wants to reduce the sentence’s of all prisoners by 50%.
The Safety Act hasn’t raised the crime rates enough, ask Democrats why they are pro-criminal.

Governing by “feelings” means vulnerable kids will be even more at risk. More unintended consequences.

The Palestinians would slit the throats of anyone present at this event. They don’t mind killing jews but they abhor all deviant behavior.
Allowing government to control the price of rent fits in nicely with Kamala Harris’ plan to reduce inflation “on day one”. That can only be done by government imposed price controls.
As more and more very hard working proprietors give up, eventually the government will step in with their tax payer money to take them over. And Atlas Shrugged.

RE: House Bill 5219….HOLY S _ _ _!! IF this passes and “50%” or so are shortly let out, the states surrounding you could well have increased criminal activities from those leaving your State!! 🙁 🙁 🙁
Speaking from the State to your immediate east, WE DON’T NEED ANYMORE CRIMINALS/CRIMES (or ‘Foreign Nationals’) then we already have!!!!!

Rents are up because the Liberals keep increasing taxes! Taxes & fees are simply passed along to the tenants. (ILLINOIS DOES NOT NEED RENT CONTROL, WE NEED TAX CONTROL! Rent increases are simply trying to keep up with the tax increases)
Rents are also up because the Liberals are ‘soft on crime’ and there is no accountability for things like vandalism and non-payment of rent. So these losses are reflected in higher rents to cover these costs.
