Townships in Illinois mostly duplicate what cities and towns already do. There is zero reasons for not abolishing both the Bloomington and Normal townships. Everything they do could be done by existing government without a separate line item on your tax bill.

The current Normal Township Supervisor was appointed in July of 2022. Per Open The Books this was his 2023 salary:

Krystle Able announced she is running for Supervisor on April 1st:

Krystle says she is the Executive Director of a Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans. This is from ProPublica which publishes tax returns on non-profits:

This group had Revenue of only $65,677 in 2023 and spent $131,000. At the end of 2023 they had Assets of $23.2K and Liabilities of $28.7K.

Note they are not only UNDER WATER for spending more than they took in, those numbers are in Thousands. Normal Township spends MILLIONS.

Township Supervisor is a full time job Krystle Able is unqualified for. I’ve written many stories about her lack of any economic knowledge. Running this organization proves it.

Able calls this job her “career”. The tax filings show she earned $4,134 in 2023 when she became Executive Director. Previous years have a long list of employees earning $0. Krystle isn’t on either of the previous years earning even $0.

Krystle has zero qualifications for this job!

Why did Democrats pick her when they held their caucus? Because this is Illinois?
