Status of Electric Buses: FOIA Insights

By: Diane Benjamin

I FOIA’d Connect Transit for the status of the electric buses. I received the below. Keep in mind each one of these was around $1 million tax dollars. I also have emails that I can’t read because of my eye problems, stay tuned.

See costs in this story: https://blnnews.com/2022/03/23/celebrate-electric-buses/

  1. A Connect Transit Board composed mostly of the elderly political insider class and wannabe members of the insider elite club advocated for and approved the purchase of these vehicles. Happy Clappers or corrupt crooks grifting ? Local media won’t tell 🤫

  2. And we are just one location with such willful waste. I wonder how much America as a whole is flushing down the toilet on these feel good contraptions.

    1. When you manufacture million dollar buses that sit broken in a parking lot, you are doing nothing more than polluting the world.

So, in essence you could say the green agenda does two things.
      1. It consumes and wastes valuable resources.
      2. Its end product is pollution.
      3. It produces a false sense of security.

It pollutes in the form of ugly wind turbines, solar farms and useless buses.

  3. Maybe Unit 5 can use these as trade-ins on their new electric buses?

Oops….there is no value for used electric buses on trade. Maybe, just maybe, Unit 5 should cancel their order.

  4. Climate change my ass all you liberal ignorant demon rats are buying that crap hook line and sinker fyi what happened to the mile of ice where we live global warming you dip sticks been going on for eons
The fact that our local politicians elect to spend millions of dollars of your tax dollars for worthless battery operated buses and you continue to support that crap because of global warming speaks highly of the ignorance that the demoncrats continue to puke and you believe
Like your real estate taxes time for a revolution enough said

  5. Well you will have to excuse me for sounding radical I believe in providing local bus service but not at a loss of over a million dollars a month and I have had to observe a government in normal that has been terrible you have a mayor that says that there will be no natural gas allowed to the 8 acres that the city wants to develop south of the train station green energy and he wants to spend 45 to 70 million to build a tunnel under the railroad tracks so the bikers and train people don’t have to walk 40 yards
And you the voters of normal have kept him in power for almost 22 years
You all like the cost your house taxes you haven’t seen anything yet

  6. Now ,tell me far leftists ,how we are supposed to convert to all electric vehicles when one city has 12 EV buses and ONLY 1 is working?
Those 11 paperweights are pretty expensive. Just remember the 11 paperweights each costing around ONE MILLION TAXPAYER DOLLARS ,when it’s time to vote.
