Epic Illinois fail

From the Illinois Constitution:

Pull out last year’s property tax bill. The State of Illinois isn’t the primary funder of public education. You are. Next year’s property tax bill will be even worse. Add to that a 1% Sales tax increase the schools want you to vote for April 1st.

Meanwhile many states have passed school choice. Kids in Illinois are held captive by their zip code. People with the means to send their children to private schools do. Illinois created a class system where a superior education can be bought. That means government discriminates against every other child who is a prisoner in substandard public schools.

Uneducated dependents are essential for progressive control of the population. Look at Illinois priorities: Free abortions, funding illegals, coddling criminals, and almost 300 new laws as of 1/1/2025.

Illinois will never pass School Choice because the unions buy representation. Obviously political power is more important than education.

Your children and your wallet deserve better. You can only achieve that by moving to a state where education is a priority.

Before then vote NO April 1st. Your property taxes won’t go down if it passes. The tax won’t be paid by people outside of Bloomington-Normal who shop here. Places to shop don’t exist, Amazon sales tax is based on your address. People outside the cities won’t be paying the 9.75%. Only you will and the schools will be claim they don’t have enough money.

  1. Good stuff Diane!
Looking at the link to the State Constitution –

    1. SECTION 1. GOAL: “The State shall provide for an efficient system of high quality public educational institutions and services.”
Efficient and high quality? – Not Meeting Expectations.
    Where is our refund?

    2. SECTION 3. “PUBLIC FUNDS FOR SECTARIAN PURPOSES FORBIDDEN”
    – Sectarian purposes: Activities promoting a specific religious sect, denomination, or ideological group, often excluding or detrimenting others, and fostering division.
    – Illinois Public Education includes DEI, Comprehensive Sex Ed, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and Social Emotional Learning. All ideologically based activities that are divisive.

The State should be held accountable for failing their constitutional mandates.
