Try not to laugh while reading this. After all Krystle Able is an elected Democrat on the McLean County Board. She also wants to be Normal’s Township Supervisor earning close to $90,000 a year before benefits if she’s elected April 1st.
She posted this on Facebook. If she didn’t want people to see her brilliance she would make her page private. It isn’t.
She totally missed that she agrees with Republican ideology for taxes, more on than in a minute.
Close to 25% of every dollar the State of Illinois receives goes to pensions. In December the unfunded pension liability climbed to $144 BILLION.
Defined benefits means stock market crashes hurt your 401K but you pay more to fund pension losses. All the risks is on taxpayers, not people receiving pensions.
How many people receiving Illinois pensions moved out of Illinois? We don’t know because the government doesn’t want us to know. I can think of many. Under Krystle’s theory other states are benefiting from the money Illinois taxpayers pay for retirements.
We have to talk about the lavish retirements of pensioners because within 10 years they earn as much as they did working. Remember they increase 3% every year automatically. Taxpayers are forced to pay people not to work, sometimes for decades.
What pensions really are is redistribution of wealth for votes. The Illinois Constitution was changed to say pensions can’t ever be diminished because unions want the gravy train to continue forever.
What Krystle’s little chart really says is how Republicans write tax policy. When taxes are cut people have more money in their pocket. They spend that money which grows the economy and creates jobs.
Democrats constantly increase taxes because, as Krystle proves over and over, simple economic theory is way above their pay grade. Tax cuts for all improve people lives. Pensions only improve the lives of government workers. The private sector was smart enough to bury defined benefit programs. Illinois Democrats will be responsible for the inevitable inability to pay them. They are counting on you forking over even more taxes.

She’s similarly competent to Able
At least Krystle is open and transparent about who she is and what she stands for. Even her social media is open.
Dem Chair Cortesi has his X account all locked up and 50 % + of all elected local Republicans will smile and lie to your face and vote with progressive Dems just to stay in favor.
The duplicitous and phony elites in this town could care less about family values or low taxes – they got their share of the grift already.
As far as Krystle Able goes she is making her points and fighting for what she believes in. The Chamber ‘O Commerce backed candidates simply take a knee & cuck out to whoever they think will win.
At least Krystle stands up for something.
